Overwatch: Fans Expect Genshin Impact Crossover Content Soon

Overwatch fans have recently been expecting the developers to work with Mihoyo some time soon. Apparently, this first-person shooter title will have a tie-in event with Genshin Impact. Both developers have yet to confirm any contact with each other as of now.

As seen on the official Overwatch Twitter, the developers celebrated the holidays with its playerbase through a festive artwork post. The art featured the Overwatch cast in the holiday spirit giving gifts and enjoying the snowy winter night. However, the fans saw this artwork differently.

As seen on @Neqtuen's post on Twitter, one character looks like one of the Genshin Impact Traveler's companions handing out a gift to Tracer. Apparently, the new festive D.Va costume looks a lot like Jean and Barbara from the hit Mihoyo title.

Overwatch: Fans Expect Genshin Impact Crossover Content Soon

As of now, both Mihoyo and Blizzard Entertainment have yet to show any confirmation that they'll be working together anytime soon. In the past, Mihoyo has worked with Guerilla Games to add Horizon Zero Dawn's Aloy to Genshin Impact as a Traveler ally.

For the events that both developers can work together soon, the month is about to end to enjoy any crossover event for Christmas on Overwatch. Meanwhile, Mihoyo has just announced the lineup of Update 2.4 events just after Christmas day.

To know if we'll get this crossover event, we'll have to wait for more details from the developers if this will prove true soon.
