If you want to get stuck into Tataru's new adventures, you'll need to be all caught up with the main scenario up until now. Tataru's questline requires completion of the Newfound Adventure quest that capped off 6.1.
That's because that 6.1 MSQ unlocked the quest Small Business, Big Dreams that you'll need to have cleared as well.
Further to that, you'll need to have completed A Redbill Farewell from back in the Heavensward days. That's the end of the Shadow of Mhach alliance raid series that began with Void Ark, so there's a hint as to what's about to go down.
