Edgar Davids - 90 CDM

Starting off our Dutch Icon Wishlist, we have a true icon of his generation, standing out with his icon dreadlocked hair and goggles, Edgar Davids.
While being short in stature, Davids was one of the most physical midfielders in world football, thanks to his aggressive, hard-tackling style of play, a style which earned him the nickname ‘The Pitbull’ by Louis Van Gaal.
A very technically capable, lively player, Davids would be a fan favourite in FUT, and I’m sure would make it into plenty of teams should he feature in FUT 21.
Wesley Sneijder - 90 CAM
Top Teams: Ajax, Real Madrid, Inter, GalatasarayCareer Apps: 707Career Goals: 182Top Club Honours: 1x Serie A, 2x Coppa Italia, 1x La Liga, 1x Copa Del Rey, 2x Eredivisie, 2x Turkish Super Lig, 1x Champions League, 1x FIFA Club World CupInternational Honours: -
Sneijder was a part of the famous 2009/10 treble-winning Inter side where he was, without doubt, one of the best midfielders in world football, known for his classic playmaking ability and pinpoint free-kicks.
The most capped Dutch player of all time, with 134 caps, Sneijder won plenty of trophies around Europe, and while he didn’t win any international team honours, he won both the 2010 Bronze Boot and Silver Ball awards at the 2010 World Cup, clearly highlighting his talent on the world stage.
Wesley Sneijder would be a brilliant icon to bring into FIFA 21 Ultimate Team, with his 5* Weak Foot, deadly free kicks, a rocket of a long shot and inch-perfect passing.
Jaap Stam - 91 CB
Top Teams: PSV, Manchester United, Lazio, Milan, AjaxCareer Apps: 554Career Goals: 24Top Club Honours: 3x Premier League, 1x FA Cup, 1x Coppa Italia, 1x Eredvisie, 1x Intercontinental Cup, 1x Champions LeagueInternational Honours: 1x Dutch Footballer of the Year
Jaap Stam is a true Dutch icon, remembered especially for his role in the famous treble-winning Manchester United team in the late 1990s. Known for possessing good pace, ball-playing ability, strength and positioning, Stam created a reputation for being a truly dominant centre half.
Voted the best defender in both the 98/99 and 99/00 Champions League campaigns, he would be a dominant centre half in FUT and is someone we’d love to see added in FUT 21.
Robin Van Persie - 92 ST
Top Teams: Arsenal, Manchester UnitedCareer Apps: 696Career Goals: 324Top Club Honours: 1x Premier League, 1x FA Cup, 1x UEFA CupInternational Honours: -
Without doubt one of the greatest Premier League strikers of all time, as well as the all-time leading goalscorer for the Dutch national team, we have Robin Van Persie.
After joining Arsenal from Feyenoord for a mere £2.75m fee, Van Persie enjoyed over a decade of English football, winning multiple awards, including consecutive Premier League Top Scorer awards in the 11/12 and 12/13 seasons.
With his wand of a left foot, we’re sure that Robin Van Persie would be a brilliant inclusion in next year's set of icons, and would certainly add to the pool of top tier talent to choose from in FUT.
Arjen Robben - 92 RW
Top Teams: PSV, Chelsea, Real Madrid, Bayern MunichCareer Apps: 703Career Goals: 246Top Club Honours: 2x Premier League, 1x FA Cup, 1x La Liga, 1x Copa Del Rey, 8x Bundesliga, 5x DFB Pokal, 1x Eredivisie, 1x UEFA Super Cup, 1x FIFA Club World Cup, 1x Champions LeagueInternational Honours: -
Easily one of the most decorated Dutch players of all time, Arjen Robben is certainly deserving of an icon card in the future.
Winning 12 league titles in 4 different countries, Robben is the true definition of an ‘Inside Forward,’ frequently cutting inside from the right-hand side onto his preferred right foot to unleash efforts on goal.
With his recent signing to FC Groningen, where he started his career, it’s unconfirmed as to whether we’ll see him as an icon in FUT 21, however, he’s still more than deserving of a spot.
