FlexiSpot Comhar All-in-One Standing Desk Review: Stand or Sit in Style

Gamers have a wide selection of options to choose from when picking a desk for their gaming rig. With so many "gamer" desks out that feature lighting, carbon fiber tops, and all other sorts of bells and whistles, though, it's sometimes difficult to appreciate the simplicity of natural wood-topped standing desk

My previous desk was a capital-G gamer one that featured many such cosmetic flourishes. I have since switched out to FlexiSpot's Comhar All-in-One Standing Desk after being offered it to review. I used a standing desk exclusively for years before obtaining my gamer desk and it is refreshing to have one once again.

Standing Desk, Assemble!

I was surprised when the Comhar arrived, as it required very little assembly before I was able to get up and running. The entire process took about five minutes, not counting the time it took to take everything out of the box. The desk is not ultra-light, but it's not overly heavy either, coming in at just shy of 100 pounds. Once assembled, the desk feels sturdy, which reassures me the quality build is meant to last for years to come.

Up or Down?

While the Comhar All-in-One Standing Desk doesn't have a ton of cosmetic bells and whistles, it does have a few essential features that I now realize are essential for a standing desk. It boasts a small drawer, two USB-A charging ports, and one USB-C charging port, and while these are nice to have, they're not the most impressive part.

The best aspects of the Comhar are its motorized height adjust features.

The desk is fully motorized, so there's no need to manually adjust the height to your preferred settings. There are four memory settings, so users can set their desired height and switch between them at the touch of a button. The Comhar also has a locking mechanism, so you won't accidentally change the height if you press the memory button. A safety feature takes things a step further, stopping the desk from lowering if something is obstructing its path.

The height range of the desk goes from a sitting height of 28.3" to 47.6", which should be comfortable even for the tallest users.

Verdict: Simple, Stylish, Functional

The desk I received came with a black frame and a natural bamboo top. It's elegant and simple, a far cry from my previous desk and a more mature and versatile piece of furniture. It has a place in a formal office setting, yet still works as a focal point of a gamer's den. The easy of raising or lowering the desk means I can stand and work while still lowering the desk when I want to game, or just need to give my feet a short rest.

Overall the Comhar All-in-One Standing Desk is one of the best desks I have ever owned, combining form and function in a way I never knew I needed.
