Fortnite Leaves Early Access

In a new development update, Epic confirmed that "Save the World" development will slow, and that not all of the battle royale cosmetics and items will be available in the PvE portion at some point in the future.

Interestingly, "Save the World" will no longer be releasing as a free-to-play title when it reaches full release.

If you own any of the "Save the World" bundles dubbed Founder's Packs, you'll be rewarded with an upgrade to the next version. If you plumped for the Ultimate Edition you'll earn 8000 V-Bucks and a new Metal Team Leader cosmetic pack.

Going forward, "Save the World" mode will be purchasable for $20 and contain the Metal Team Leader pack, new challenges, back bling and a weapon schematic dubbed "Papa Bear".

Save the World will also include a new seasonal structure, with a new annual schedule.
