Fortnite's Chapter 2 Season 4 is live and experienced a spooking event thanks to Fortnitemares!

Last week's challenges had players wielding Storm's Whirlwind Blast and this week we'll dance our way around the map.

Week 9's challenges are pretty straight forward, which makes a change from some of the more Marvel-themed objectives put forward in previous weeks.

Here are week 9's challenges and how to complete them.

Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 4 Week 9 Challenges Release Date

The new challenges will arrive on the 22nd of October 2020 at roughly 2-3pm BST.

Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 4 Week 9 Challenges

The Week 9 challenges are as follows:

  • Search 7 chests at Holly Hedges (25,000 XP)
  • Get 3 eliminations at Slurpy Swamp (25,000 XP)
  • Collect 1 floating ring at Steamy Stacks (25,000 XP)
  • Dance at the highest spot and the lowest spot on the map (25,000 XP)
  • Land at Sharky Shell and finish Top 25 (25,000 XP)
  • Heal teammates with a Bandage Bazooka (25,000 XP)
  • Knockback opponents with Shockwave Grenades (50,000 XP)
  • Deal 500 damage to opponents at Sweaty Sands (25,000 XP)

There is an incredible amount of experience to unlock here, totalling 225,000XP if you complete every challenge.

This would get you a long way on your Battle Pass, helping to unlock new characters, emotes, and weapon skins.

What's more, completing a total of 10 challenges from Week 9 and 10 combined will unlock an alternate Mystique skin, so it's worth going out of your way to complete them.

MARVELOUS: Get ready for another week of Marvel filled challenges

How To Complete Season 4 Week 9 Challenges

Search Chests At Holly Hedges

This is a relatively easy challenge, requiring you to head to the Holly Hedges POI in Fortnite.

Located to the north-east of the map, south of Sweaty Sands, you may struggle to do this in one go due to there potentially not being enough chests and competition from opponents.

Your best bet is to jump into squads or solos to ensure you are competing with fewer teammates and even opponents.

Don't Miss Out: The Fortnite Special Edition Switch is now available to pre-order on Amazon!

It will no doubt be a popular drop place, to begin with, but will die down as the week goes on.

Head to B5 on the map where the small town is located.

Eliminations At Slurpy Swamps

Another simple challenge, but can be dependent on where the final circle lands.

Slurpy Swamps is located to the south-east of the map, but it's a very popular drop location and you'll usually find a lot of circles heading that way.

It doesn't pop up very often in Team Rumble, so you may have to be patient.

Head to C6 or C7, get on top of a building and search for a chest and a rifle to quickly take out loot-less enemies.

It may take you a few tries to do, so don't focus too heavily on getting this challenge done from the get-go and focus on other things; it'll come naturally.

STORMING: A whirlwind is blowing across Fortnite

Collect 1 floating ring at Steamy Stacks

Steamy Stacks is located in the very top-right of the map between G2 and H2.

Drop into a game of Team Rumble and head for this location.

The floating rings can be found in this handy guide:

All of them are located outside, other than one in the centre.

Dance at the highest spot and the lowest spot on the map

The highest point on the map should be the snowy mountains, to the east of Catty Corner. You'll spot a flag/pole once you've reached the summit towards the bottom of G7 on your map.

From there, you'll need to glide over to Coral Castle to get to the lowest point. This should be underneath the big central structure.

If you want to cross the map fast, try to jump off the mountain and kill yourself due to falling damage, so you can spawn closer and higher in the air. You'll obviously need to do this in Team Rumble.

Land at Sharky Shell and finish Top 25

Sharky Shell is often overlooked as a location because it's tucked away at the very top-left of the map; above Coral Castle.

All you need to do is drop into this location in a regular BR match (solos, duos and squads) then play it slow and cautious.

Wait for players to quickly eliminate each other and you should complete it easily.

Squads is probably the easier mode to do it in as there are far less teams to compete with.

Heal teammates with a Bandage Bazooka

This should be straight forward and can be found by searching crates or supply drops.

If you're lucky you can do this while completing the chests challenge At Holly Hedges.

It's easier to do this when you get to the main circle in Team Rumble, stick near other players and heal them when they take damage.

Knockback opponents with Shockwave Grenades

This should be straight forward if you play enough Team Rumble and search crates or supply drops.

If you're lucky you can do this while completing the chests challenge At Holly Hedges.

Just get close enough to your opponents and throw them at other players.

Deal 500 damage to opponents at Sweaty Sands

A simple enough challenge, but due to the location, it can be tough to do if the final circle does not finish here or if no-one is visiting the location.

If you play Team Rumble enough times, more than likely the battle bus drops will allow a mix of both teams to drop in this location. Or the final circle will push you here.

Get on top of a building and search for a chest and a rifle to quickly take out loot-less enemies.

It may take you a few tries to do, so don't focus too heavily on getting this challenge done from the get-go and focus on other things; it'll come naturally.

Bonus XP

If you're looking to grab an easy 20,000 XP, you can do so with two new secret challenges that have popped up in Slurppy Swamp.

They will take less than 30 seconds to do and are located right next to each other.
