While Fortnite Chapter 2, Season 8, is hot on players' minds, other updates to the game in the works excite a large portion of the player base.
There has been chatter of the next iteration of Fortnite's Creative mode for a while not.
Fortnite Creative 2.0, also known as Valkyrie, is meant to change the way fans play Fortnite, offering them more powerful tools to unleash their imagination.
In fact, the recent Imposters Mode is basically a glorified tech demo of the upcoming technology.
This means that with enough skill, players will be able to create a similarly complex game experience using Valkryie in the future.
Latest News
Ever since the initial announcement of Creative 2.0, there has been no further communication from Epic Games regarding the same. If rumors are to be believed, there's a very high chance of the new edition of Fortnite Creative being released in Chapter 3.
However, until Epic Games officially announces the release of Creative 2.0, it remains a mystery as to when players will finally be able to get a first-hand experience of Valkyrie.
Additionally, Fortnite recently confirmed that Chapter 3 will witness the game shifting to Unreal Engine 5. Given that Creative 2.0 has been speculated to be a complete rework with tons of new features, Chapter 3 and the shift to Unreal Engine 5 could finally witness the release of Valkyrie.
Fortnite Creative 2.0
Information recently released by @GNBRUnreleased, and other Fortnite leakers and Data Miners explain that while Imposters is not 100% Valkyrie (Creative 2.0), it uses much of the technology that will appear in the next version of Creative.
It is thought that this is the first step into the Fortnite metaverse and the beginning for changing Fortnite from a single game to a platform that allows players to flex their creativity.
Fortnite Creative players already push the current system to its limits and even a bit beyond at times.
It will be amazing to see what they can do with a more robust toolset.
Blueprints Support
HYPEX has leaked that Creative 2.0 will support Blueprints, a Visual Scripting language that allows for robust logic.
If this is true, Creative 2.0 is sure to be incredibly powerful!
The Future of Creative
Imagine Fortnite side-scrollers, RPGs, sports sims, and more, all creating using the Valkyrie technology.
There is currently no news on when Creative 2.0 will release, but many Creative fans are salivating with the information released; many Creative fans are salivating, waiting for it to drop.
