Fortnite's new game engine is finally here, but Epic's promises of upgraded physics are nowhere to be seen as of yet.
Many thought it was a slightly odd that Fortnite's announcement of a new physics game engine would be introduced ahead of Chapter 2: Season 2, rather than at the start of Chapter 2.
Naively, many expected a perfect product when it finally arrived. It appears that this was not the case, as the "physics" part of the "physics game engine" looks to be suffering from a few issues.
Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 2 is finally here, so here's all we know about the new "Chaos" engine.

New Engine Issues
It's safe to say there have been a couple of teething issues with the new engine. Check out this tweet for just one of them:
YOU CAN LITERALLY WALK THROUGH WALLS, I’M CRYING IN THE BATHROOM 🤣🤣pic.twitter.com/d2oXWNOc0Z

Yep, this player is managing to jump straight through those walls. Considering building is Fortnite's most unique pull, this certainly puts a dent in the gameplay. It certainly puts a new spin on Einstein's physics theories.

How To Install The New Physics Engine
Simply update your game on whichever platform you play.
The update should be available for Fortnite on PS4, Xbox One, PC, Nintendo Switch, Android, and iOS.
How Does This Affect Your Game?
Long story short, it shouldn't really. The new engine should just make aesthetic changes, for instance, buildings and walls crumbling instead of simply disappearing.
Developers wrote in a recent blog post: “Beginning with the release of the 11.50 update in early February, Fortnite will be moving to Unreal Engine’s Chaos Physics Engine.”
Looking Ahead To Season 2: Chapter 2
Hopefully, all these issues should be sorted before the new season starts.
Chapter 2 Season 2 is set to release on the 20th February - you can read everything about it here.
But, in the meantime be careful when passing by walls, or, alternatively, use these glitches to your advantage and rack up cheeky kills.
