For those who do not know, V-Bucks are Fortnite's form of currency that players can use to purchase the Battle Pass and cosmetic items.
For quite some time, Epic has been experimenting with ways to purchase V-Bucks and now they have made a significant change.

Effective August 13, 2020, Epic Games has officially reduced the prices of V-Bucks across all platforms as part of "The Fortnite Mega Drop"

Free V-Bucks?
Now, you may be wondering what happens if you purchased V-Bucks within the last couple of days or weeks. Have you just been scammed by Peely?
No! Thankfully Epic has confirmed the following in their blog post:
"Players that purchased V-Bucks or purchased a real-money offer like Summer Legends in the last 30 days (July 14, 2020 - August 13, 2020) will be granted a V-Bucks bonus by August 17! The V-Bucks bonus will be 20% of the total purchase amount during that time frame."
