Want to know how to use and where to find the powerful Lock-On pistol in Fortnite? Then we got you covered.

This powerful gun was first introduced in Chapter 4 Season 2, quickly becoming one of the most fun tools in the entire game, albeit a bit weak, receiving some buffs during the season before being vaulted with the start of Chapter 4 Season 3.

After being absent for three seasons, the Lock-On pistol is finally back with Chapter 5 Season 1. So if you want to know how to use it and where to find it, this guide is for you. Let's begin.

The Lock-On pistol is back!

The Lock-On pistol can be found like every other piece of regular loot in Fortnite - by opening chests of all kinds. Simple as that.

There's only a Rare version available, so if you're looting chests hoping to get your hands on an Epic or Legendary version, you won't get one.

How to use the Lock-On pistol

What makes this weapon unique is the tracking system that activates when the player aims down sights, placing a blue circle around the crosshair. When an enemy enters the 50m circle, up to four bullets will charge and all will hit the target. The fourth bullet in the burst is always a critical hit.

It's worth noting that the Lock-On pistol uses light ammo, does not come with First Shot Accuracy enabled, and can't be reloaded while aiming down sights.

Lock-On pistol stats

Take a look at the full Lock-On pistol below:

  • Damage per second: 375
  • Damage: 25
  • Magazine Size: 12
  • Fire Rate: 15
  • Reload Time: 1.76s
  • Structure Damage: 20

And that's pretty much all you need to know. Good luck and get those Victory Royales, you won't want to miss on that Peter Griffin skin in the battle pass.
