Fortnite has been out for some time now, and throughout this period, the game has never run dry of new content. There's always a big new Fortnite collab or event on the horizon, and these come packed with new skins and cosmetics. Some of these cosmetics are extremely rare, and today, we'll look at the rarest gliders in Fortnite.
These rare Fortnite gliders would be the pride and joy of any serious collector. Some are from very old events, but others haven't been seen in the shop in years. Let's review the 10 rarest Fortnite gliders and when they were last seen.
We also suggest you look at our lists of the rarest skins and learn about all rarities.
10 Rarest Fortnite Gliders
Astroworld Cyclone
The Astroworld Cyclone is a rare glider gifted to players who attended the Travis Scott Astronomical concert. However, due to controversy, the Travis Scott skin was removed from Fortnite, and we haven't seen the glider appear in the shop.
Founders Glider
The Founders Glider is a very old glider you could get only if you bought the Save the World game mode before it went free to play. This glider is reserved for veterans and OG players, and its classic design lines up with this description. You'd have to find a sealed copy of Fortnite Save the World for the code to get this glider.
High Octane
The High Octane glider sports an extremely cool design that's themed around John Wick's car. It was only available as a reward for completing the Tier 100 battle pass challenges in Season 3. Therefore, most players who couldn't put in the time to grind out the Battle Pass were unable to get it, and it hasn't made a return since.
Slipstream
Twitch Prime subscribers could claim Slipstream during a limited-time event. You would get Slipstream as a reward if you connected your Epic Games account with your Twitch account before May 9, 2018. Despite the ease of getting it, Fortnite wasn't big enough back in the day, and people weren't used to connecting across platforms for rewards. Coupled with the fairly ordinary design, few people went out of their way to get the Slipstream glider.
Discovery
The Discovery Glider was part of a collaboration between Epic Games and Samsung, where you could receive the Galaxy set of cosmetics if you bought the Galaxy Note9 or Galaxy Tab S4. This would put the price of this bundle at around $1000, which means not many people have it at all.
Mako
Many consider the Mako glider to be the rarest in Fortnite. It was available as a battle pass reward during Chapter 1, Season 1 of Fortnite. Battle Pass progression was rough back then, and few people could progress enough to get the Mako glider. However, it accidentally came back to the shop in January 2018.
Aerial Assault One
The Aerial Assault One was also available as a battle pass reward during Chapter 1, Season 1 of Fortnite. This glider hasn't returned since, making it one of the oldest and rarest gliders in the game.
Rotor
The Rotor glider was part of a one-time collab with Nintendo, where the only way to get it was to buy a Nintendo Switch. Safe to say, not many people bought a new console for a cosmetic glider. It's paired with the Double Helix cosmetics set, and seeing any components from that set is now a rarity.
Stealth Pivot
Like the Rotor, the Stealth Pivot was only available if you bought a $500 GeForce graphics card from Nvidia in 2017. The GPU would come bundled with the code for the Counterattack cosmetics set and 2000 V-bucks. Safe to say, not many people got this limited-time offer.
Beast Brella
Only 100,000 people had the opportunity to get their own Beast Brella. The Beast Brella was rewarded to the first 100,000 players who could complete the Mr Beast Extreme Survival Challenge in Creative Mode. This challenge was extremely tough and was only available during December 2022. There is no way to buy or get this item anymore.
