Amid the reintroduction of the beloved Pump Shotgun in last week's content update, Epic Games has pushed forward another content update while they are currently away from their offices, as part of the 14 days of summer in-game event.
Although this content update is rather short compared to last weeks iteration, it introduces a new weapon into Fortnite’s loot pool. Data miners managed to find this new weapon's inclusion recently, which we covered in an article here. You can find all of the information on this update here.

The Drum Shotgun
Leaked during the V9.30 initial patch release the Drum Shotgun was released into Fortnite’s Battle Royale game mode during this content update. Epic Games has also released the full statistics of the new shotgun, which now brings Fortnite’s shotgun count to four; Tactical Shotgun, Combat Shotgun, Pump Shotgun and now the new Drum Shotgun.
Drum Shotgun
- Available in Common, Uncommon, and Rare variants.
- Clip size of 12
- 45 / 47 / 50 damage per shot.
- Available from Floor Loot, Vending Machines, and Loot Carriers
The Drum Shotgun has a relatively fast rate of fire, which is accompanied by a huge magazine size, it seems like it's almost the better version of the Tactical Shotgun.
