Players that get the Gears 5 Ultimate Edition will receive the Halo: Reach pack with it, the new game is set to release in less than a month. This new development could signal the intention to release Halo: Reach on Halo: The Master Chief Collection soon. With the interest in Halo rising, after E3 2019's most recent look at Halo Infinite, many will be keen to jump back on this Halo classic.
The new game in the Gears of War franchise is one of Microsoft's big launches for 2019 and with Gamescom 2019 starting today, we can expect to hear much more about the Horde mode in Gears 5.

Originally leaked by Reddit user Mister_Cheif posted on the Gears of War subreddit displaying an image of the new Halo: Reach pack that players will receive when they purchase the Ultimate Edition of Gears 5.

It was later confirmed that this pack will be released alongside the Ultimate Edition of Gears 5 via the Inside Xbox livestream from Gamescom 2019.

On the surface this looks like a great way to promote both Gears 5 and Halo: Reach. It could be that we'll be waiting longer than anticipated for Halo: Reach and this is Microsoft's way of occupying our time until that wait is over. Or it could be a small teaser to help generate excitement for its release in the near future.

This incentive has come quite late in the build up to the Gears 5 launch, with the idea to encourage people to order the Ultimate Edition.
