Bennett is one of the best characters in Genshin, thanks to his all-around abilities. So what is the best Genshin Impact Bennett build?
An orphan raised by the Adventurer’s Guild, Bennett is a sweet boy and the only member of 'Benny's Adventure Team.' Nobody else is part of that team since he’s so unlucky that every former member left, which is extremely sad since Benny is just a nice kid wanting to go for new adventures.
How do I get Bennett in Genshin Impact?
Bennett is obtainable by spending wishes in the Wanderlust Invocation banner, and has appeared in the Paimon’s Bargains shop in the past.
He is also a boosted 4-star in Nahida and Yoimiya's banners in the first half of version update 3.2.
What are the best Bennett builds?
As a DPS, Bennett can get a ridiculously short cooldown in his Elemental Skill, with a Pyro damage output that comes in handy in an aggressive team. His Elemental Burst also regenerates the HP of his teammates, boosts their Attack, and applies Pyro element to them, which is incredibly useful for triggering Elemental Reactions, and keeping everyone alive and well.
Below are two of the best Bennett builds that make the best use of his skills and applicable talents.
Role | Best Weapon | Alternative Weapon | Best Artifacts |
---|---|---|---|
Pyro Support Build | Skyward Blade | Sacrificial Sword | Noblesse Oblige (4 Pieces) |
Pyro DPS Build | Mistsplitter Reforged | Sacrificial Sword | Noblesse Oblige (4 Pieces) |
Pyro Support Build
For a Supporter setup, the Skyward Blade works excellently, boosting your Attack Speed and Movement Speed, but the Favonius Sword works greatly as a replacement since the former can be difficult to obtain. Either Artifact set is equally useful for this setup, and your choice between buffing your party members’ Attack or Energy Regeneration should depend on how your team is built.
Pyro DPS Build
Mistsplitter Reforged is the best option for a DPS approach (and kudos to you if you have it). Its advantage while attacking enemies affected by Pyro should serve its purpose really well.
What are the best team comps for Bennett?
Bennett’s capability as a Support/DPS hybrid unit works really well no matter how we build his setup, but the approach may change depending on his companions. Bennett and Fischl are great as partners since they can help boost any Main DPS unit's damage output while also triggering Elemental Reactions such as Vaporize or Superconduct. To complete the team, a support unit like Jean or Zhongli can provide the necessary sustain to make everyone feel a bit safer.
Role | Character |
---|---|
Main DPS | Diluc, Klee, Keqing, Tartaglia, Arataki Itto, Ganyu |
Sub-DPS | Raiden Shogun, Xinqiu, Albedo, Yae Miko |
Support | Venti, Xiangling, Mona, Zhongli, Kazuha |
What are the best weapons for Bennett?
Weapons that boost Energy Recharge like Festering Desire or the Skyward Blade are the best option for Bennett, but you can also find a more affordable and equally good alternative in the form of the Favonius Sword.
Weapon | Rarity | Stats | Skills | How to Obtain |
---|---|---|---|---|
Mistsplitter Reforged | 5-Star | CRIT DMG 9.6 % | Gain a 12% Elemental DMG Bonus for a character's Elemental Type. At stacks 1/2/3, Elemental DMG is further increased by 8/16/28%. | Wish |
Sacrificial Sword | 4-Star | Energy Recharge 13.3% | ATK is increased by 20%. Triggers on taking DMG. | Wish |
Prototype Rancour | 4-Star | Physical DMG 7.5% | On hit, Normal or Charged Attacks increase ATK and DEF by 4% for 6s. Max 4 stacks. This effect can only occur once every 0.3s. | Forged |
What are the best Artifacts for Bennett?
On the Artifacts side, sets like Crimson Witch of Flames, The Exile, or Noblesse Oblige are truly useful since we want to boost either Pyro Damage, Energy Recharge, or the Elemental Burst skill.
Artifacts | Two-Piece Effect | Four-Piece Effect |
---|---|---|
Noblesse Oblige | Elemental Burst damage +20% | Using an Elemental Burst increases all party members' Attack by 20% for 12 seconds. This effect cannot stack. |
Crimson Witch of Flames | Pyro damage Bonus +15% | Increases Overloaded and Burning damage by 40%. Increases Vaporize and Melt damage by 15%. Using an Elemental Skill increases the 2 Piece Bonus by 50% for 10 seconds. Max 3 stacks. |
The Exile | Energy Recharge +20% | Using an Elemental Burst regenerates 2 Energy for all the other party members every 2 seconds, for 6 seconds. This effect cannot stack. |
What bre Bennett's skills and Talents?
Bennet is easily one of the best units in the game, a Support/DPS hybrid unit that works really well in any team, either by supporting the Main DPS or taking the spotlight by triggering Elemental Reactions. The short cooldown on his Elemental Skill and the healing/boosting potential that his Elemental Burst has, makes him a really valuable asset in combat.
Attack | Effect |
---|---|
Normal Attack | Performs up to 5 rapid strikes. |
Charged Attack | Consumes a certain amount of Stamina to unleash 2 rapid sword swings. |
Plunging Attack | Plunges from mid-air to strike the ground below, damaging enemies along the path and dealing AoE damage upon impact. |
Elemental Skill - Passion Overload | Press A single, swift flame strike that deals Pyro damage. Hold Charges up, resulting in different effects when unleashed based on the Charge Level. |
Elemental Burst - Fantastic Voyage | Bennett leaps towards the enemy and performs a plunging attack, dealing Pyro damage, creating an Inspiration Field. Inspiration Field -If the health of a character in the circle is equal to or falls below 70%, their health will continuously regenerate. Regeneration scales based on Bennett's Max HP. -If the health of a character in the circle is higher than 70%, they gain an Attack Bonus that is based on Bennett's Base Attack. Applies the Pyro element to characters within the Field. |
Talent#1 - Rekindle | Decreases Passion Overload's cooldown by 20%. |
Talent#2 - Fearnaught | When inside the area created by Fantastic Voyage, Passion Overload takes on the following effects: cooldown is reduced by 50%. Bennett will not be launched by the effects of Charge Level 2. |
Talent#3 - It Should Be Safe... | When dispatched on an expedition in Mondstadt, time consumed is reduced by 25%. |
What are Bennett's Constellations?
If you get to pull Bennett multiple times, you will eventually reach a level of the constellation that will turn Bennett into an excellent Support unit, with improvements on all his Skills and their respective cooldowns, making Bennett a great way to trigger Elemental Reactions and heal your party.
Something worth noting is that the last constellation bonus converts all physical damage from Sword, Claymore, and Polearm characters into Pyro damage while they are inside Bennett's elemental burst, which can be really bad if you're trying to trigger other reactions and whatnot. This is why it's recommended to never activate it, leaving Bennet perpetually at Constellation Level 5.
Constellation | Effect |
---|---|
Grand Expectation | Fantastic Voyage's Attack increases no longer have an HP restriction and gains an additional 20% Base Attack. |
Impasse Conqueror | When Bennett's HP falls below 70%, his Energy Recharge is increased by 30%. |
Unstoppable Fervor | Increases the Level of Passion Overload by 3, up to a maximum level of 15. |
Unexpected Odyssey | Using a Normal Attack when executing the second attack of Passion Overload's Charge Level 1 allows an additional attack to be performed. This additional attack does 135% of the second attack's damage. |
True Explorer | Increase the Level of Fantastic Voyage by 3, up to a maximum level of 15. |
Fire Ventures with Me | Sword, Claymore, or Polearm-wielding characters inside Fantastic Voyage's radius gain a 15% Pyro Damage Bonus. Normal and Charged Attacks now do Pyro damage. |
What are Bennett's Ascension materials?
Ascending Bennett boosts his HP and Energy Recharge stats more than anything else, a welcomed improvement that turns him into a great Support unit. Farming the Pyro Regisvine can take time, but it's more than worth it.
