Gillette Championship Third Set of Finalists Revealed

Gillette Championship | Third Set of Finalists Revealed

The Gillette Championship kicks-off in just over a week and as our search for the best European Pro Evolution Soccer players nears its end, we’re excited to introduce you to the latest recruits of the Gillette Championship academy

Could you please introduce yourself?

Hey, my name is Jérémy, I'm 25 and I'm from France. I also play for the team Neo Esports 95 and we have 3 players representing the team in the Gillette Championship.

How did you discover the Gillette Championship?

A member of my team talked to me about the event and I decided to try and qualify.

Is there any specific reason you entered the Croatia qualifier?

At the announcement of the event, I told some French players they shouldn’t try to qualify as Croatia because I will win with them :p

I was really motivated to qualify with them because I think Croatia is the perfect outsider for the competition, and I take so much pleasure playing with them.

In a second part, Croatia have the most beautiful shirt of the Euro’s!

Will this be your first LAN event? If so, how do you feel heading into it?

No, this is not my first LAN event, I’ve played in some tournaments in France, but it is my first International tournament and I feel very excited about that.

What are your strengths and weaknesses?

I think I have a good technical ability when I play, and a good vision of the game. But sometimes I can lose my nerves.

Do you believe you can win it?

I'm a competitor and I’ll do everything in my power to win with Croatia, even if I know there will be more competitive teams than mine.

There are some great and experienced players in the Gillette Championship but I’m not afraid about that. I’m confident of myself.

Any additional comments?

Road to London, see you there!

Could you please introduce yourself?

My name is Yos Sonneveld, I am 22 years old and live in the Netherlands.

How did you discover the Gillette Championship?

A good friend of mine, Ali Sufi, contacted me about the championship.

Is there any specific reason you entered the Austria qualifier?

They are not the best team in Euro’s, but they have some players who could make a difference. And besides, I did not have the time to join the other qualifiers.

Will this be your first LAN event? If so, how do you feel heading into it?

This is my first international offline championship, but I have played in two offline national championships in the Netherlands.

Do you believe you can win it?

I believe I can win the championship, but it is going to be though. I also need to be realistic, knowing there are big players who have already qualified with big teams, and they have a better chance of winning.

What are your strengths and weaknesses?

I have a good insight in the game. My weakness is that I am not fully focused during the whole game and I make a lot of mistakes with my defenders or goalkeeper.

What do you think of Gillette?

It's the best I can get! It is great that they have sponsored this championship.

Any additional comments?

I wish the best of luck to all the competitors and let's have a nice time at the Gfinity Arena!

Hello, my name is Gianfranco and I am 29 years old.

I discovered it through my clan friends, our team is called ‘PES & Love’.

Is there any specific reason you entered the Russia qualifier?

No reason, I tried to qualify and it went well with Russia.

Will this be your first LAN event? If so, how do you feel heading into it?

Yes, this is my first LAN and I’m very honored and at the same time proud.

What are your strengths and weaknesses?

I don’t know, but I always try to give my best… I hope to play a beautiful game.

Do you believe you can win it?

Win? No, because Russia is a lower tier team. But this is football and it has taught us that nothing is impossible…

What do you think of Gillette?

Gillette is a great brand for personal care, particularly for bearded men. I personally use Gillette to shave and I use the famous Gillette Fusion.

Unfortunately, we were unable to interview the remaining finalists, however we would like to congratulate Stavros Stavrakidis (qualified as Ukraine) and Derradji Lotfi (qualified as France) for successfully qualifying for the Gillette Championship Live Grand Finals, held at the Gfinity Arena & Studios from 8th - 9th of July.

Please note: If you do no respond to your invitation in time, your invitation will be revoked and issued to the next appropriate person.
