Rocket League's first major event for 2022 is on the way. Calling it Neon Nights, that's a collaboration with musician Grimes, marking the first time Psyonix has based an event directly on a musical artist, going live on January 26 until February 8.
Launching alongside Grimes' new single, Shinigami Eyes, Psyonix outlined several event challenges in a blog post, stating:
Players will be able to complete new Event Challenges to unlock items such as the “Player of Games” and "Shinigami Eyes" Player Anthems, GRIMES-themed Gravitator and Space Queen Toppers, Braided Trail, GRIMES Decal, GRIMES Wheels, GRIMES Player Banner, Fireworks (Multichrome) Universal Decal, and Uncanny Boost.

That's not all, either. Adding to this, Psyonix are bringing back Rocket League's Heatseeker Ricochet - Limited Time Mode during this event. Golden Moons can also be earned, used to unlock items from the Impact, Nitro, and Overdrive Item Series.
Finally, Psyonix also announced they'll be celebrating the Lunar New Year in Rocket League with a "Year of the Tiger" free bundle. Claimable within the Item Shop, that comes with two new items, a Tiny Tiger Topper and Tyger Decal.
Rocket League is available now on Nintendo Switch, PS4, Xbox One, and PC via the Epic Games Store. While we're still waiting for news on a native PS5 and Xbox Series X|S port, both consoles can play it through backwards compatibility.
