Rockstar Games has posted the Grand Theft Auto VI reveal trailer ahead of time after it was leaked.
The hype surrounding the first look at the sixth Grand Theft Auto title has reached fever pitch after Rockstar Games officially revealed when the showing of the very first reveal trailer would take place.
Just hours before the world got to see its latest project, the reveal trailer leaked ahead of time, much to the frustration and excitement of those wanting to see what the developer has been working on for the past decade. In response to the leak, Rockstar Games moved the trailer launch forward, for everyone to see the first official glance at the hugely anticipated release.
Shortly after the leak hit social media, Rockstar Games published the official trailer that was initially scheduled to go live on December 5, 2023.
The short trailer showcases Lucia, a prisoner looking to start a new life in the vast metropolis of Vice City. In addition to the first look at the first female protagonist of the franchise, the trailer showcases all kinds of goings-on in the surrounding neighbourhoods. As with most Grand Theft Auto releases, anything and everything goes.
As expected, the sudden release of the GTA VI trailer has gotten everyone excited. One fan says: "It's so unfortunate to see the trailer revealed this way, but the trailer is a banger." Another adds: "Legendary response."
While many are enjoying the first look at a revamped Vice City, the trailer also reveals the game is set for a 2025 release, meaning there's still a while away before everyone loads into the bustling metropolis once again. One frustrated fan says: "2025? You gotta be kidding."
The wait for information on GTA VI is finally over and although 2025 is over a year away, there's plenty of time for Rockstar Games to share what it has in store for what could be one of the biggest releases in all of gaming.
