Throughout the years, Bungie has handled Destiny 2 without further involvement to their previous series, Halo. However, an upcoming event could potentially introduce a new crossover that reunites them, if new screenshots are to be believed.
Destiny 2 is about to celebrate the Bungie 30th Anniversary event on December 9. Players can get new items through purchasing the pack as seen from Steam. That includes a new 3-man dungeon, an Exotic event-themed Gjallarhorn rocket launcher, and more sources of loot for Destiny 2 players to enjoy.
Destiny 2: Halo Collaboration Potentially Leaked for Bungie's 30th Anniversary Event
As reported by DestinyNews+, players have found new promotional images on the Steam page. Showcasing six Guardians, some weapons holstered on their backs look like Halo's Battle Rifle and Carbine. Presently, neither Bungie, 343 Industries, or Microsoft have announced any official statements about a collaboration event.
Bungie left Microsoft in 2007 and went their own way in making games, developing Halo Reach before moving onto Destiny, meaning it's been over a decade since Bungie last visited Halo. We'll keep you informed with any further developments.
