Many are hoping for a major Halo InfiniteGamescom 2019 announcement, with little gameplay being show off and Gamescom 2019 around the corner many fear it could be a while before they get what they're looking for. A big update on the status of Halo Infinite was revealed at E3 2019, we can surely expect some big announcements to follow in Cologne. The German video game fair has been known to divulge juicy first looks and never before seen information. E3 2019 fielded over 70 new titles, so we can expect this year's Gamescom 2019 to be no different and we hope there will be plenty to talk about surrounding Halo Infinite at Gamescom 2019.
During E3 2019 we got a glimpse of the new Halo towards the tail end of Microsoft's conference, they showcased a cinematic trailer, but it was enough to get fans excited and speculating already. With talks of a new Halo for years now, the community has been patiently awaiting a new game since Halo 5's launch at the end of 2015.
During the showcase trailer, it showed a lost and distorted Master Chief being recused by a fellow soldier, only to be rebooted and learn the troubling news that they have lost everything. It was later confirmed that this was a campaign cutscene. So, from what we know from this trailer it appears that the human planet that the soldiers and Master Chief were stationed on is no more and is lost. With the looming Gamescom 2019 slowly approaching us, what can we expect out of the Microsoft conference this time around?
A Beta Announcement?
It is unlikely that we will see a full-on Beta for Halo Infinite's story mode but there is a chance we may get one for its multiplayer mode. Perhaps we could get an official announcement at Gamescom 2019, however, Halo Infinite is set to release on the Project Scarlet console so it is unknown if they will spend the resources to make a beta for the Xbox One. We could see one at Gamescom 2019 or we could yet again be left with nothing and hope for a future announcement.

Gameplay Trailer?
Although Studio Director Chris Lee noted in a blog post after E3 2019 that Microsoft will be keeping it on the down-low as of now, with Lee also stating "E3 2020 will be a big moment for Halo Infinite," he noted/ "Until we reach that destination in 2020, we'll continue to embrace the mystery and wonder of Halo and the endless opportunity and potential of this engine, this hardware and, most of all, this team."
So this could mean our chances of getting an official gameplay trailer at Gamescom 2019 are bleak, but we can remain hopeful that Lee was playing with us and there might actually be something in the works for fans. It will be very interesting to see just how different this Halo plays in comparison to other titles, with it being on a next-generation console and having a unique engine we could be in for a one of a kind title.
