Halo Infinite Is Still Coming To Xbox One, 343 Industries Confirms

343 Industries had previously needed to debunk rumours that the last-generation version of Halo Infinite had been cancelled.

Back in August, Junyszek had noted that "there are no plans to change our 2021 release or the devices and platforms we'll be supporting".

"We're building Halo Infinite to be the best it can be on each device/platform" he added.

Considering the current hubbub surrounding Cyberpunk 2077's cross-generation release, many fans have responded to Junyszek requesting that 343 Industries consider focusing on Xbox Series S/X and PC versions of the game.

CDPR's RPG has been hampered by bugs and crashes on PS4 and Xbox One platforms, particularly on the original 2013 models of each.

In other Halo news, 343 recently published an end of year update about the franchise.

Alongside tidbits about Halo Infinite, the team confirmed that the Master Chief Collection's PC release bought in the largest addition of new players to the Halo franchise since Halo 3.

That same blog post also included a note from studio head Bonnie Ross which said "I realize the wait has been difficult, and I assure you that the team wants the game in your hands as soon as possible, but they also want to deliver something special…the Halo game you deserve".

Here's hoping for a huge 2021 for the franchise.
