Master Chief Collection on Console Getting FOV Slider Support

Halo Infinite may not be arriving until later in 2021, but the Master Chief Collection has given the franchise fresh legs despite its tumultuous launch.

Now available on Xbox One, Series S/X and PC, the game continues to grow – and next week sees a much-requested feature come to last-gen platforms.

Master Chief Collection on Console Getting FOV Slider Support

As part of its next "public flight" test (that's an insider beta to you or I), players on Xbox One will be able to utilise a new FOV slider, 343 Industries revealed in a new blog post.

For Xbox Series S and X players that already have the FOV slider, it will now be unlocked while playing at 120Hz on compatible displays.

Another big update is the inclusion of a Custom Game Browser, which the team dubs "a new wa7y to play with each other in MCC".

Players will be able to create a specific match type within any of the games in the collection.

Elsewhere mouse and keyboard support is coming to consoles, as well as a new map for Halo 3 from the cancelled Halo Online.

343 Industries' turnaround of the Master Chief Collection has been nothing short of incredible.

Despite launching with almost unplayable multiplayer in 2014, it now not only works, but has grown, too.

343 added Halo 3: ODST and Reach, before bringing the package to PC in a piecemeal fashion.

In December, 343 announced that the PC release saw the largest addition of new players to the franchise since Halo 3.
