Halo Infinite may not be arriving until later in 2021.
But the Master Chief Collection has given the franchise fresh legs following its piecemeal rollout on PC.
While fans are hopeful we will hear some more news regarding Infinite in the coming months, a new development update from 343 may have alluded to some Infinite news.
Here's what you need to know!
Update
In a new development update posted over the weekend, 343 made a rather interesting comment regarding a future update coming to the Master Chief Collection.
The key note from this phrase is how when the new series of flights gets released later this month there will be a "nice place and way to play".
Check out the full quote below:
Later this month we are currently planning to kick off our next series of flights. We have quite a bit of new content we are looking to get into your hands, but we are deciding what the right amount is and are still waiting to see what progress is made in the coming weeks.
If all goes well, later this month or early next month is when we plan to roll out our next public flight. Some of the items we are hoping (things can change) to have make it into this flight are as follows:
- FOV slider support for all Xbox One consoles
- FOV slider will no longer be locked when Xbox Series S|X devices are set to 120hz
- Additional ways to customize controls
- Additional Keybindings
- Mouse & Keyboard Support for consoles
- View Model Adjustments
- And maybe a new place and way to play
Fans have speculated what this could exactly mean. As of now, we can only guess that it could have something to do with Infinite when it releases.
Other then that, it could mean the Master Chief Collection will become playable on a new platform.
We will have to wait and see!
