Halo Infinite was set to be Microsoft's companion for the Xbox Series X.
That was until it was revealed that Halo Infinite would be delayed until 2021.
It was assumed these delays were the result of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
However, an insider has revealed that the Halo TV show may also be responsible for the game's delay.
Halo TV Show Causes Halo Infinite Delay
According to a report by Thurrott, an insider has revealed the Halo TV show is partly responsible for Halo Infinite's delay.
The report states, 'the Halo TV series for ShowTime has been a significant distraction for 343 management."
It continues, stating it was often the "priority instead of focusing on making sure development progress is on the right path to reaching its targeted deadline."

This will certainly be concerning for fans who were looking forward to Halo Infinite's release.
The game was one of the most highly-anticipated games for the Xbox Series X.
The delay of the game will certainly be a blow to the sales of the Xbox at release.
343 Industries are yet to comment on the reports of the insider.
The Delay may be disappointing, but it does give 343 more time to perfect the gameplay experience.
Far too many times have games been rushed out too quickly before they're finished.
Let's hope this delay gives 343 the extra time to provide us with the Halo were all desperate to see.
