Ever thought about escaping to a cute island full of fun and adventure? Hello Kitty Island Adventure is here to make it happen!

From grabbing what you need to meeting new faces, you’ll never run out of things to do here.

But since the possibilities are endless, where do you jump in first? This guide will help you dive into the game without a hitch.

New to Hello Kitty Island? Here’s What You Should Do

If you're into cozy life-sims, Hello Kitty Island Adventure is all yours on Apple Arcade.

You join Hello Kitty and her friends on a tropical island to restore a long-forgotten theme park. The game lets you explore, complete quests, and craft while breathing new life into the island.

As you go, you'll make friends with Sanrio characters, discover new areas, and grab resources to fix up the island. It's not the hardest game out there, but a little strategy and forethought go a long way.

Don’t Leave Anything Behind

As soon as your adventure kicks off, you'll come across a variety of items spread around the island—flowers, fruits, critters, materials, you name it.

It’s hard not to zoom through the story, but picking everything up along the way really helps, especially early on. You can use resources such as rubber, sticks, sand dollars, and flowers not only for crafting, but also for quests, gifting, and cooking.

These items respawn very slowly, so it’s smart to pick them up whenever you get the chance and keep your inventory topped off. Make sure to collect as much as you can, because these materials are vital to unlocking new areas, tools, and quests as you progress through the game.

Gifting Gets You Everywhere

One of the fun parts of Hello Kitty Island Adventure is getting to know the characters around the island.

Every character has their own likes, and gifting them things can improve your relationship. Give gifts every day, since each character can take up to three, and the more you give, the faster you’ll get ahead.

It’s not exactly spelled out for you, but gifting the right items will increase your friendship levels and unlock important abilities like swimming and fishing. Kuromi and a few others unlock quests that are pretty important for moving forward.

Use high-value gifts like Jack-O-Lanterns for Kuromi or other character-specific items to level up friendships quickly.

3. Craft the Flippers First, You’ll Need Them Soon

One of the early milestones in the game is unlocking the ability to swim.

Since water surrounds much of the island, being able to swim means even more places to explore. To swim, you'll need to make some Flippers, which you unlock after finishing a quest once you've reached a certain point in the game.

Don’t put this off; the quicker you get the Flippers, the more chances you’ll have to discover new places, resources, quests, and friends.

If you’re looking to push ahead, swimming is how you access the Spooky Swamp.

Puzzle Rooms Are Worth It

While you’re wandering around, you’ll run into puzzle rooms and treasure chests tucked away here and there.

You'll find these puzzle rooms behind locked doors or requiring special items, but they're worth it for the sweet rewards. The chests are full of materials, recipes, and useful items for crafting or gifting.

Some chests won’t open without keys or tasks, so make sure to solve those puzzles you find. You’ll get a good boost from these puzzle rewards, especially since crafting new items is a big part of progressing through quests and advancing in the game.

Organize Your Quests So You Don’t Get Stuck

There’s no shortage of quests in Hello Kitty Island Adventure, so it might take a minute to decide where to dive in.

Luckily, the game includes a useful in-game phone to track quests, monitor your progress, and check what tools or friendship levels you need to move forward.

Some quests won’t unlock until your bond with certain characters is stronger, so make sure to check the requirements. The trick is to tackle quests that open up new tools and abilities (like the Flippers) or take you to important areas, such as the Spooky Swamp.

Daily quests also reset each day, so take advantage of them for rewards and friendship boosts. If you keep tabs on your quests, managing your time will make your island journey a lot smoother.
