How to pop balloons in Hogwarts Legacy
Rather than having to use a spell you've learned, popping balloons in Hogwarts Legacy is incredibly straightforward. All you need to do is fly into them using your broom. Simply mount your broom and make sure you're travelling at a fast enough speed.

If you fly too fast, it's very easy to miss your intended target. To guarantee the balloons pop, we recommend not using the speed boost.

In total, there are 32 balloons located all over the map. Here's a complete list revealing where to find them:
- North Ford Bog
- Hogsmeade Valley
- North Hogwarts
- South Hogwarts

- Poidsear Coast
- Marunweem Lake
- Manor Cape

The locations of the balloons don't appear on the minimap. You have to look for them. Thankfully, the skies are relatively empty compared to the grounds below. Simply fly upwards and the balloons should be fairly easy to spot thanks to their red and gold colour combination.

Popping the balloons isn't a waste of time. Beyond being required to learn a certain spell, there are plenty of rewards up for grabs, which is great news if you want to get your hands on some cosmetic items. Here are the available rewards:
