The best Honkai Star Rail Yukong build
Best light cone for Yukong
Past and Future is the go-to light cone for Yukong and you can get a copy randomly when doing your weekly Echo of War clears or you can buy a copy from the Forgotten Hall vendor.
Past and Future: When the wearer uses their Skill, then the next ally taking action (except the wearer) deals 16% increased DMG for one turn(s).
The stats mentioned above are at Superimposition 1 and you can get more copies from the Light Cone Manifest store to get it all the way up to Superimposition 5 for a whopping 32% damage increase for your characters when using Yukong’s skill.
If you don’t have Past and Future yet, you can opt for any other light cone from the Path of Harmony.

What are Yukong’s abilities?
Unlike a lot of other Harmony characters, Yukong adopts a hybrid playstyle where she deals decent damage while also buffing her allies. Her crit rate and crit damage bonuses are extremely potent for any team. You want to start battles by using Yukong’s technique as it will give her two stacks of Roaring Bowstrings, which buffs your allies’ damage.
Skill | Description |
---|---|
Basic Attack | Deals 130% of Yukong’s ATK as Imaginary DMG to a target enemy. |
Skill | Obtains 2 stacks of Roaring Bowstrings (maximum 2 stacks). When Roaring Bowstrings is active, the ATK of all allies increases by 75% and 1 stack of Roaring Bowstrings is removed after every turn by an ally, except for the turn in which Yukong gains Roaring Bowstrings by unleashing Skills. |
Ultimate | When using her Ultimate, if Roaring Bowstrings is active on Yukong, all allies’ CRIT Rate additionally increases by 27% and CRIT DMG increases by 62%. At the same time, deals Imaginary DMG equal to 361% of Yukong’s ATK to a single enemy. |
Trace 1 | Basic Attacks deal 75% of Yukong’s ATK as Imaginary DMG to a target enemy, and increases Break-Effect of this attack by 100%. This effect can be triggered once every 2 turn(s). |
Trace 2 | After attacking an enemy and entering battle, the enemy’s corresponding Type Toughness will be weakened. |
Trace 3 | After Technique is used, enter Sprint Mode for 20 seconds. While in Sprint Mode, Movement Speed increases by 35% and Yukong receives 2 stacks of Roaring Bowstrings when she enters battle by attacking enemies. |
What are Yukong’s Eidolons?
Eidolon Level | Effect |
---|---|
Level 1 | At the start of battle, increases the SPD of all allies by 10% for 2 turn(s). |
Level 2 | When any ally's current energy is equal to its energy limit, Yukong regenerates an additional 5 energy. This effect can only be triggered once for each ally. The trigger count is reset after Yukong casts her Ultimate. |
Level 3 | Skill Lv. +2, up to a maximum of Lv. 15. Basic ATK Lv. +1, up to a maximum of Lv. 10. |
Level 4 | When "Roaring Bowstrings" is active, Yukong deals 30% more DMG to enemies. |
Level 5 | Ultimate Lv. +2, up to a maximum of Lv. 15. Talent Lv. +2, up to a maximum of Lv. 15. |
Level 6 | When Yukong uses her Ultimate, she immediately gains 1 stack(s) of "Roaring Bowstrings". |
Yukong’s eidolons are quite powerful but you should not go for them unless you are okay with getting the rate-up 5-star character. Her E1 is a great stopping point and you can consider getting one copy of the character in patch 1.1 and wait for patch 1.2’s event that will give a free copy of Yukong.
Yukong is a great character to pull for if you don’t have powerful support like Tingyun or Bronya. You will eventually need to build eight characters for Memory of Chaos and Yukong is an excellent support that can boost your team’s damage significantly.
If you are planning to pair her with a Nihility debuffer, we have a Honkai Star Rail Silver Wolf build that you should check out. We also have a collection of Honkai Star Rail codes in case you need some Stellar Jades to pull for Yukong.
