For the much-awaited sequel to Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, Cal Kestis has finally been reunited with Star Wars fans. Five years have passed since the events of the game at the start of Star Wars Jedi Survivor, but how many planets are in Star Wars Jedi Survivor?
Star Wars are lucky enough to visit some new and familiar planets in the game, adding to the vast lore of the series.
Planets in Star Wars Jedi Survivor
Players in Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order travelled to many worlds throughout the galaxy to fend off the Inquisitors and revive the Jedi Order. You'll embark on another voyage throughout the galaxy in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, but this time you'll see worlds with a greater diversity of species.
Several planets in Jedi: Fallen Order were fun to explore and play about in, and they play a big role in Star Wars mythology, but the landscapes were largely devoid of towns and other signs of life.
Star Wars Jedi Survivor planets list
Below is a list of all explorable planets in Star Wars Jedi Survivor:
- Koboh
- Coruscant
- Jedha
- Shattered Moon (Moon of Koboh)
- Tanalorr
- Nova Garon
Bogano, Zeffo, Kashyyyk, Dathomir, as well as Ilum, could all be explored in the original game, but they're not in the new game. Visiting planets like Kashyyk was fun, but the way the world was constructed gave the impression that there was no civilization there. While Wookiees and other allies were present, the city was nothing in comparison to the cities in role-playing games like Skyrim or Mass Effect. The junkyard of Bracca seemed the closest to being a habitable planet, but you could only go there at the beginning of the game.
The planets in Fallen Order sometimes felt like playgrounds created with Cal in mind, as opposed to enormous cities and advanced civilizations, and the same can be said about Jedi Survivor.
What else is new?
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor features a few new worlds, as shown in the game's trailers. Some seem to emulate Fallen Order's emphasis on the wilderness but on a much wider scale. Even the fauna is enlisted by Cal to assist him in navigating the vast, ostensibly open world maps.
He is pictured mounting a bipedal animal and clutching onto the claws of a bird-like creature that resembles a pterodactyl. The exploration of cities and other urban settings, including Coruscant, is a pleasant change of pace in Survivor.
Without a doubt, the planets included in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor completely change how the game looks and plays. This Metroidvania concept should be expanded upon in Survivor, but with significantly more room for players to wander about and discover.
