How to Catch Fish in Ruined King: A League of Legends Story

Fishing is the last thing anyone would expect to see in a game that's based off League of Legends lore. However, just like the launch, Riot surprised everyone by including a fishing mechanic in the game.

That being said, it acts as an interesting little diversion from the main game itself. Fishing, just like it does in the real world, acts as a respite when you're tired of the adventure and you need a break.

So here's our very own guide to fishing in Ruined King: A League of Legends Story.

How to catch fish in Ruined King: A League of Legends Story

Catching fish is probably one of the simplest mechanics that is present in Ruined King: A League of Legends Story.

Before you begin catching fish, you will need to identify if a spot has fish to catch. You can identify a fishing spot if you see the dark outlines of the fish swimming about in the water.

Once you've spotted the fish, you need to drop your line along with the bait right at that spot. There's a power meter that appears on top of the screen. The higher the power on the meter, the farther you will be able to throw the line.

However, you don't really need to throw the line too far. You need to drop it at the distance where you've seen the fish. And once you've dropped the line, you need to wait till the fish bites it before you can reel it in.

There are two gauges that appear once the fish has bitten the bait. There's a green bar that indicates the stamina of the fish. There's also a red bar that indicates the strength of the line.

You would want to make sure that the green bar is depleted. That makes it easier for you to rope the fish in. However, if you see the red bar starting to deplete, you'll have to brace yourself for losing the fish.

Once you've caught the fish, make your way to the Fishmonger in Bilewater, where you can purchase more fishing gear. You can also turn in your fish in exchange for black marks.
