Shiny Machop is currently available in Pokemon Go, so if you set on catching one, keep trying to encounter as many as possible!
Though, if you’re interested in boosting your chances, you’ll want to know when the best opportunity is to find a shiny version of these fighting legends.
Here’s our guide on when you can next catch a shiny Machop, and how to then get a shiny Machoke and Machamp too!
What Does Shiny Machop Look Like?
Shiny Machop looks a little more yellow than his regular form.
Though Machoke and Machamp are a lot more green!
How To Catch Shiny Machop
As we said above, you could randomly encounter one in the game right now if you wanted, but you’re better off looking for other pokemon right now.
That is until the upcoming January Community day!
On January 16, 2021, from 11 AM to 5 PM in your local time, you’ll be able to find a Shiny Machop at an increased spawn rate!
You’ll also find way more Machop in general, letting you farm candy to evolve this Fighting Pokemon.

How To Get A Shiny Machoke and Machamp
That farmed candy will come in handy if you want shiny versions of Machop’s evolved forms!
Thankfully, all Machop candy is the same, shiny or not, so just farm out 25 Candy to evolve in Machoke and then 100 for Machamp!
Good luck out there trainers.
