If you want to know how to connect your PS4 to a monitor, we've got you covered.
Connecting a PS4 to any one of the best gaming monitors is always a great shout if you're looking to breathe some life into the iconic console.
The PS4 still packs a punch and with PS5 exclusives still not too commonplace, many of the best titles can be played on PS4 still.
Gaming monitors can come in especially handy if you're playing competitively, where screen size and frames per second are factors in securing victory.
But if you're here you're itching to get started up - so here's how you do it, and some products we think are worth considering for the job.
How to Connect a PS4 to a Monitor
Step 1: You'll need an HDMI 2.0 cable. These cables can be found practically anywhere, and they're used to transfer video and audio data.
You can spend as little or as much as you want on these, but we'd recommend going for one that is built to last to avoid having to replace it later down the line.
Step 2: Plug the HDMI 2.0 cable into the back of your PS4. This will be closest to the power supply socket, where you plug the PS4 into the mains.
Step 3: Find the corresponding HDMI port on your monitor and plug in the cable. This can sometimes be a little fiddly, as the port is often verticle to allow for it to sit flush against the back of the monitor.
Step 4: Your PS4 should be all connected, so you're good to go!
How to Connect a PS4 to a monitor without HDMI
If your monitor doesn't have an HDMI 2.0 port, you can actually use an adapter for whichever port you have.
This can be either an HDMI to DisplayPort or in some cases HDMI to VGA adapter.
Here are a couple of options you could use below.

So there you have it, that's all the most common ways you can connect a PS4 to your monitor.
