How To Get Burmy and Wormadam
To personally catch yourself a Burmy (or Wormadam) in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl can be a tedious task. First, you need to acquire some honey from the man in Floarama Meadow and lather all the honey trees across Sinnoh. Then, wait six hours, and hope that one of them battles with you. We have a guide to all honey tree locations and how hunting Pokémon with honey works here!
This can take a while and doesn't guarantee you can encounter. So, if you're not too bothered right now about catching a Burmy or Wormadam and just want to get your hands on the National Pokédex, there are a few other things you can do too.
You can encounter a Burmy by battling with Bug Catcher Donald in Eterna Forest. He will be in a duo with Bug Catcher Philip, too. If it's Wormadam you're looking for to fill out the Pokédex, you can encounter a Trainer by battling with Beauty Devon along Route 214; she is a blonde NPC directly along the middle, right-hand side of the route.
How To Evolve Burmy into Wormadam and Mothim
In Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, a female Burmy will evolve into a Wormadam once it reaches Level 20. On the other hand, to evolve Burmy into Mothim, they will need to be male and also reach Level 20. It's as simple as that!
All Wormadam Evolution Forms & Type
There are three types of Wormadam, and these all depend upon the Burmy that you catch and the cloak that they have. Cloaks are permanent and will determine a Burmy's second type, and thus determine the Wormadam that they evolve into.
- Plant Cloak: Bug, Grass
- Sandy Cloak: Bug, Ground
- Trash Cloak: Bug, Steel
Again, for a Burmy to evolve into Wormadam, they must be a female Pokémon!
That's all there is to know about Burmy and Wormadam for when it comes to completing your Pokédex or collecting all the types.
