As you play Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, you may come across a Pokémon who you wish to prevent from evolving for whatever reason, be it for moves or for a specific evolutionary form. You can do this manually, but for an easier time, you should get your hands on an Everstone.
In this guide, we explain how to get the Everstone in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl.

Dig In the Grand Underground
By heading to the Grand Underground and engaging in the digging mini-game, you always have a chance of coming across many stones, including evolution stones and the Everstone. This rare chance will be increased if you trigger the Diglett bonus too. The bonus will increase your chances of finding rare items, and lasts for four minutes. So, be sure to get digging whenever it occurs!
Head to Snowpoint City
In Snowpoint City, where the seventh gym leader is located, there is a house where you can acquire Everstone. In the upper-right corner of the city, enter the house, and speak to the blonde woman inside. You will need a Medicham, as she will request to trade one with you for her Haunter. After a successful trade, the Haunter she trades with you will be holding the Everstone!
That's how to get the Everstone in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl. If you're interested in the evolutions that are available in the Sinnoh Pokédex, check out our evolution guide. We also have a handy type-chart you can keep to hand to ensure you're prepared for all your battles.
