How Do I Get The Firework Flare Gun in Fortnite?
At the time of writing, you can't get the Firework Flare Gun just yet. While the files for this weapon were added in the mid-season update released on June 21, it isn't set to come into rotation until July 4.
Leakers anticipate that a special Independence Day event will take place around then, with the fireworks adding to the celebratory tone of the whole thing.

When it does arrive, expect the Firework Flare Gun to be reasonably easy to spot. It'll likely appear in chests and supply drops that fall from the sky in the late stages of a game.
As a promotional weapon, it wouldn't be too much of a surprise to see the Firework Flare Gun appear for purchase in the vending machines strewn across the map, or maybe even for sale via some NPCs like the Chug Cannon earlier in the season.
Of course, once we know more about the Firework Flare Gun in Fortnite, we'll update this guide to let you know exactly how it can be found. Until then, prepare to track it down in chests!
What Does The Fortnite Firework Flare Gun Do?
In terms of gameplay, the Firework Flare Gun functions almost identically to the other flare weapons in Fortnite. The base flare gun shoots a red light into the sky, indicating the silhouetted location of nearby enemies.
We imagine the Firework Flare Gun will be practically identical in utility, with the added bonus of a firework cracking off once the projectile reaches the sky. That likely won't translate to any tangible difference in gameplay besides making a bit more noise, but the added atmospheric value of the firework itself should have it prove a popular pickup.
Additionally, it wouldn't be a surprise to see a special event harness the firework mechanic. We all know how much Epic Games likes to add brief LTMs to celebrate certain events, so an Independence Day mode where you and other players put on an impromptu fireworks display could well happen. We'll have to wait and see.
That's it for our early look at the Firework Flare Gun! The new item should arrive quite soon, leaving Fortnite players with something to look forward to.
