Since its release, Black Myth: Wukong has captivated players with its intricate story, complex combat mechanics, and stunning world. To thrive in this game, you'll need to step out of your comfort zone and seek out essential resources to support your survival.

Among these resources, Silk is a crucial crafting material. However, it isn't commonly found everywhere. It's essential to know where and how to collect it to ensure you don't run out. Keep reading this guide to explore the best ways to gather Silk in the game.

How to get Silk

Silk is one of the crafting materials in Black Myth: Wukong, which can be used to craft armor in the game. Fortunately, there are a couple of ways through which you can acquire this resource:

Defeat enemies

One of the easiest ways to get Silk in Black Myth: Wukong is by defeating certain enemies. From Chapter 2 onwards, you will encounter various enemies, such as rat enemies, who have a good chance of dropping Silk when you defeat them. These enemies are fairly common and give you a decent supply of Silk, with about a 25% chance of dropping it as their loot.

Thus, defeating enemies makes it a good source to farm and collect Silk, and you do not even have to drop off from the main storyline. Additionally, in later chapters, you will face powerful enemies and bosses who drop Silk and other valuable items like Yaoguai cores, which you can use to upgrade your weapons.

Loot chests

If you are not in the mood to face enemies and want to collect Silk without fighting, look out for hidden chests. These hidden chests are spread across the map. However, they are usually placed in hard-to-spot places, so you will need to explore the map carefully. Additionally, keep in mind that very few chests contain Silk, but on the bright side, they offer you a decent amount.

Purchase Silk

If defeating enemies or finding chests is not giving you enough Silk, you can also buy it from shops at Shrines in the game. However, this is not a reliable option to collect it because Silk is expensive and costs about 600 Will per piece.

Although it is relatively easy just to buy Silk, it will use your other resources, which you can save up for other important items. However, if you still choose to buy Silk, it is best to do it only when you need it for essential armor upgrades.

How to Use Silk

Once you are done collecting Silk, you can simply use it to make different armor sets at any Shrine. To craft armor, you will need to open the Craft menu at a Shrine. Pick the set you want to craft, and make sure you have enough Silk and other required materials. Additionally, you can also trade Silk for in-game currency Will.
