As OpenSea continues to dominate the NFT space, new holders and projects are wondering how to get verified on OpenSea.
With OpenSea recently announcing its support to Solana NFTs, the leading NFT marketplace is now brimming with new NFT projects that are in queue to onboard new users.
Here's how you can get your NFTs verified by the OpenSea team.
How To Get Collection Verified On OpenSea
Getting verified on OpenSea is a major deal for many new projects. It signals that the project has been verified by the OpenSea team and, as such, can be trusted by the NFT community.
By getting verified, an NFT project gets its blue checkmark badge on OpenSea. This signifies that a particular project is authentic and safe for further trading. It also ensures that prospective buyers have further protection from scams trying to replicate and deceive them.
Before applying for verification, make sure you connect a Twitter account to the collection, alongside minting/revealing all items. OpenSea also asks for a "certification by the collection creator that the work is original".
The collection must also have 100 ETH in trading volume.
To get your NFTs verified on OpenSea, a user must:
- Press the Edit button on your collection.
- Choose the Apply for a collection badge option, and select Request badge.
A customer support team member will then check over the application and respond within seven days.

How To Get Profile Verified On OpenSea
However, it's not just projects that want to get verified. Users can also request verification, albeit with some specific requirements. If you are a notable OpenSea user - whether due to your following or something else - or are liable to others trying to use your identity, you will have a greater chance of getting verified.
Before applying for verification, you will need to ensure your account has a username, profile picture, verified email address, and connected Twitter account. You will also need to have traded NFTs on the platform.
To apply, you should:
- Go to your Profile Settings.
- Select the Apply for Verification option and ensure all the checkmarks are ticked off.
- Press Submit Request.
And that's it! A customer support team member will then review the request and get back to you with the decision in 7 days. Once verified, the username, profile address, and details will be locked for security reasons and can only be changed once the user contacts the OpenSea team again.
