Across Fortnite's new Chapter 3 Season 1 map, players can find locked vaults. Similar to the previous seasons, they can only be opened with another person.
Calling your friends is necessary to claiming this content, and here's what you need to know.
Requirements To Open Vault
Opening a vault requires at least two people. Players can hit this requirement by queueing up with a friend and going in front of the vault. However, the player count needs to match the queue they joined.
Alternatively, players can use NPCs (or chickens!) and even carry downed opponents, or allies to remove the Vault's locks. Make sure to not shoot at the Guardians as they'll not stop you from taking the loot inside.
Where To Open Vault
So far, the new Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 1 has several vault locations scattered throughout the map. Here's an image showing where to find these vaults and locate them fast if near the area.
If it's safe and no one's around, make sure to check these vaults out. On the other end, players can also guard these vault locations and ambush foes wanting to claim loot inside.
Why Open Vaults
Opening vaults can be helpful in securing top spots and wins for any team that claims it. Vaults often contain better weapons and other loot that can help players hit harder and survive longer in the late game.
