The Silver Trial in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is among the game’s most challenging and memorable puzzles.
Players need to be quick-witted as they tackle fiery traps and partner with Gina. This article explains how to get through the Silver Trial and its tricky parts.
How To Complete the Silver Trial
To begin the Silver Trial, head to the Monastery Courtyard in the Fountain Underground after finishing the Fountain of Confession Puzzle.
The trial room is symmetrically arranged with a pedestal and various mechanisms in the center, while fire pits and swinging points are positioned on either side.
The goal is to move the two stone tablets to the right spots without running into any dangers.
Enter the room and swing over the flames with your whip to reach the far end. You’ll notice a locked door behind which the first tablet is visible.
After swinging across the flames, return to the middle of the room and head to the right.
The first stone tablet is clutched by a skeleton lying on the ground. Take the tablet and drop it on the central pedestal.
This triggers flames to sweep through the room and unlocks the once-shut door where the first tablet was.
Next, swing back over the flames to the far side of the room and pick up the second tablet from its pedestal.
But the flames are getting stronger, so a direct return isn’t possible.
You should hand the second tablet to Gina through the metal bars on your side of the room. She will then carry it to the opposite side for you.
The path back to the center gets tougher once Gina takes the tablet.
Attempting to swing across the flames will cause the wooden beam above to break.
You can climb the collapsed pillar on the left side of the room or use the nearby ledge to go around the fire pit.
If you’re feeling bold, you can sprint and jump across the flames, but expect to take some damage.
Head to the center of the room, then swing across to Gina’s spot. She will hand the stone tablet back to you.
Position the tablet in the second mechanism near Gina to extinguish the flames and unlock the exit.
Head through the open door to find the Silver Path Forge when the flames die down.
This spot has a Silver Key mold and a way to turn on the forge. Pull the chain to fire up the forge, and the molten silver will pour into the mold.
To complete the key, use your whip to pull down a metal ring above the mold.
This action releases water that cools and solidifies the molten silver, forming the Silver Key.
After the key has fully formed, remove it from the mold and exit the forge. Then, head back to the Monastery Courtyard and use the Silver Key to open the large door.
However, keep in mind that the door won’t open without the Gold Key.
If you haven’t yet completed the Gold Trial, turn around and tackle that challenge before moving on.
