Now that Halo Infinite is well and truly underway, with both the multiplayer and campaign modes, fans have been curious about how the final product is going to end up. It's a game that'll last a long time, with the co-op campaign coming in Season 2 and Forge mode in Season 3. The multiplayer mode has had a great reception aside from the Battle Pass and progression, but we're curious about the potential for a Halo Infinite Battle Royale.
We already know that Halo: Infinite has a Free-to-Play version of its multiplayer out now, so we're not sure whether the mode will turn up in the full game or somewhere down the line. Either way, it’s going to be a hefty download if 343 adds the popular mode to the game.

Will Halo Infinite Have A Battle Royale Mode?
Datamines on ResetEra have suggested that a Halo Infinite Battle Royale is definitely in the realm of possibility. A datamine from the Halo Infinite flight test preview revealed what sounded like Halo Infinite's announcer, Jeff Steitzer, saying the words 'battle royale', as if it was the start of a new match. As it’s data that was found in the game’s beta, Microsoft and 343 Industries have yet to comment on the matter.
Of course, this is far from actual confirmation that a BR mode is coming to Halo Infinite, and there are a huge number of potential explanations as to why this audio file is in the game. Don't get your hopes up just yet! We're still waiting on the delayed campaign co-op and Forge Mode.
Why It Should Happen
Considering the aforementioned Free-to-Play multiplayer of Halo Infinite will be released, this supposed Battle Royale could end up being a part of that, though it could also be an exclusive feature to the main game coming later on.
We've also seen popular streamer TimTheTatman suggest Halo Infinite would work great as a Battle Royale.
Warzone has been the quintessential 'hardcore' Battle Royale game for a little while, and there’s no denying that the genre is still something a lot of gamers are interested in. If Halo Infinite has a Battle Royale mode, it could be a real reason for new players to enter the series, particularly fans of the likes of Apex Legends and Warzone.
Granted, Halo Infinite is the sixth mainline game in the series, so we wouldn’t say it will be the perfect jumping-on point for players who want a traditional Halo experience, but for Battle Royale veterans or Halo fans who fancy something a bit different, a Halo Infinite Battle Royale would be perfect.
More Potential Leaks
In further leaky news, there's a post on Reddit by user WickedSoldier991 which includes Halo Infinite modes that are as yet unreleased. There are extra Fiesta modes, Attrition, Tactical, and more.
While this doesn't include Battle Royale as an explicit option, Attrition is somewhat similar. It includes a closing circle of death, along with the resurrection of your fellow squadmates. Pretty on the button, then.
