Is Age of Calamity Multiplayer?

The latest Legend of Zelda game is here, but this one isn’t your most traditional title in the series.

Hyrule Warriors Age of Calamity is a hack-and-slash game developed by Omega Force, the team behind Dynasty Warriors.

The Hyrule Warriors games feature memorable characters from the Zelda series, but in much bigger scale battles!

The game is awesome, but even with some familiarity, it can be tough working out how you achieve certain tasks in Age of Calamity.

In this guide, we’ll explain if there is multiplayer in Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity, and how you can play with friends.

How to Play Multiplayer in Age of Calamity

Unfortunately, there is no online multiplayer in Age of Calamity, but there is local co-op!

You and one other player can player cooperatively on the same system, each using a joy-con.

According to the game’s official website, you can do this really easily!

“Pass a Joy-Con™ to a friend and take on Calamity Ganon as a team in local co-op multiplayer. Fight side-by-side or divide your efforts to cover more ground, complete objectives, or defeat the forces of darkness!”

Playing in co-op will split your screen, but on a TV this shouldn’t be too bad, so remember to dock your Switch first.

With two of you playing together, you can easily command the battlefield and take down the enemies with ease!

And there you have it! That’s how you play multiplayer in Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity!
