After back-to-back patches aiming to rework the entire game balance for League of Legends, we haven't had the chance to see a new champion for a while. That finally changes with the release of Naafiri, the latest assassin champion in League of Legends patch 13.14.
That's not all. After a long wait, we finally see a brand new Arena game mode debut. We're also getting a brand new ultimate skin for Samira. We haven't even gotten into discussing the actual balance changes in League of Legends patch 13.14, and there's so much to cover already. So without further ado, let's get into it.
When is the League of Legends patch 13.14 release date?
According to the patch schedule, League of Legends patch 13.14 is set to release on Wednesday, July 19, 2023, at 3 AM PT. The patch update usually takes place around the following times for different servers:
- 3 AM PT (NA servers)
- 5 AM GMT (WEU servers)
- 3 AM CET (EEU servers)
- 8 AM KR (Korea)
Patch updates usually take three hours, after which you can update your client and get the latest updates for your game. This schedule is concrete, and Riot informs players of any deviations 48 hours prior.

While the official patch notes have not been released, we still got our hands on some of the early leaks. Let's check out some of the champion changes Riot Games is looking to make in League of Legends patch 13.14. Note that these changes are tentative, and Riot may change or not ship them. We'll keep a close eye on developments as League of Legends patch 13.14 gets closer.
Champion changes
Aatrox
- Q base damage reduced from 10 - 90 to 10 - 70
- Q AD ratio increased from 60% - 80% to 60% - 100%
- Q minion damage increased from 55% flat to 55% - 70%
Shyvana
- Q AD ratio increased from 20% - 80% to 20% - 100%
- Q cooldown increased from 7 - 5 seconds to 8 - 6
- Q now grants 40% - 60% attack speed for the 2 attacks
- E on-hit now scales with 1% max HP per 100 bonus AD
Volibear
- W heal increased from 8% - 16% missing health to 8% - 20%
Lissandra
- Q now slows in an area instead of just the first target
- R minimum base heal increased from 90 - 190 to 100 - 200
- R minimum heal AP ratio increased from 25% to 55%
Xerath
Base Stats
- Mana decreased: 459 – 400
P - Mana Surge
- Cooldown reduced by 2 seconds per kill
R - Rite of the Arcane
- Missiles increased: 3 – 5 >>> 3 – 7
- Base damage decreased: 200 – 300 >>> 200 – 280
- AP ratio decreased: 45% >>> 40%
- Now increases damage by 20 – 30 + 5% AP per champion hit
Zyra
P - Garden of Thorns
- Plant damage taken from AOE spells reduced: 4 >>> 3
- Bonus plant damage to monsters: 150% damage against non-epic monsters >>> 40 – 100 bonus magic damage (scaling with level) to all monsters
W - Rampant Growth
- Seeds on first rank up: 1 >>> 2
E - Grasping Roots
- No longer locks user from using flash when casting
R - Stranglethorns
- Casting logic: Walk to position >>> Casts at max range
System changes
There are a bunch of pending system changes in League of Legends patch 13.14, as Riot is still trying to figure out a healthy spot for AD Crit items. The Jungle starter items also see some balance changes.
Runaan's Hurricane
- On-hit increased from 15 to 30
- AD ratio reduced from 50% to 40%
Youmuu's Ghostblade
- Passive lethality now has range and melee split, though tooltip is bugged
Galeforce
- Cooldown increased from 90 seconds to 120
- Active base damage reduced from 150 - 350 to 150 - 300
Infinity Edge
- Crit damage increased fromm 35% to 45%
- Attack damage reduced from 70 to 65
Trinity Force
- Base AD per stack increased from 4% to 6%
- The number of stacks was reduced from 5 to 3
Jungle changes
- Gold per treat increased from 20 to 25
- Blue buff ability haste changed from 10 flat to 5 - 20
- Red buff damage reduced from 10 - 78 to 10 - 75
- Red buff slow reduced from 10% - 20% (1 - 11) to 5% - 20% ( 1 - 16) for melees and 5% - 10% (1 - 11) for ranged
Ghost
- Duration increased from 10 seconds to 15
- Takedowns no longer extend duration (though not fully removed yet)
League of Legends patch 13.14 new skins
With the advent of the Soul Fighter Arena, we're also getting a brand new skin line featuring some unique designs and very interesting lore associated with all of them. There will be a total of 12 skins released over the course of two patches.
