How to pet animals in LEGO Fortnite
To pet an animal in LEGO Fortnite, you must first make sure that you are unarmed. If you approach animals with a weapon drawn, there's a high chance of you scaring them away which is the last thing you need if you're attempting to pet them.
Next, simply interact with the animal by pressing the following key, depending on your platform:
- PS: Square button
- Xbox: X button
- PC: E key
- Mobile: Tap
After you interact with the animal, there's a chance they'll drop a resource for you to collect. There are currently a total of 3 types of animals in LEGO Fortnite: Cows, Sheep, and Chickens. Each of these animals has a chance of dropping a different resource when you pet them.
- Cows: Milk
- Sheep: Wool
- Chickens: Eggs
You can also increase the chances of them dropping their resource by feeding them the food of their preference. Cows and Sheep like Raspberries, while Chickens like it when you feed them Corn. All 3 of these animals also like Pumpkin equally and will be happy to drop their resource if you feed some to them.
Once you've learned this, you can take steps to create your own animal farm by luring multiple animals to the same location with food and creating an enclosure of fences around them.
