Are you struggling to figure out how to get Shells in LEGO Fortnite? The game has many resources that can create or upgrade different items, divided into different rarities, and Shells are among the uncommon ones.
There are three types of Shells available to obtain in LEGO Fortnite, and you can get them by killing Rollers that hide in the ground in a particular biome. Be careful, though, because these monsters are dangerous and can kill you in a few seconds.

LEGO Fortnite: How to find Shells
To obtain Shells in LEGO Fortnite, you must eliminate the monsters known as Rollers. These creatures can be found in every biome, even at the beginning of your journey. Rollers have two different types of attacks that are not only dangerous but also fast, and below you can see what they are capable of:
- The Bowling Ball - Roller comes out of the ground, twists into a ball at full speed, and attacks you. Use Dodge to move away from the attack.
- Rock Spit - This is a ranged attack that Roller uses. Press Dodge in time to avoid damage.
To farm more Shells, pay attention to the sprouts sticking out of the ground, approach them, and then Roller will come out and start attacking. After the Roller dies, one Shell will drop from it, which is a small reward considering the amount of effort that's required to stop them from attacking you.
LEGO Fortnite: All Roller types
There are four types of Rollers available in LEGO Fortnite, but only three of them give Shells:
- Roller
- Sand Roller
- Frost Roller
The fourth is the Lava Roller, which gives you the Blast Core. You can find all three Rollers in different Biomes. All of them differ in appearance and difficulty depending on their location.
While exploring the Frost Biomes, you will come across Frost Rollers, which are considered to be the most dangerous in LEGO Fortnite, and from them, you will get a Frost Shell. If you need a Sand Shell, travel to the Sand Biome and look for Sand Rollers, which are usually found near water. Regular Rollers can be found in the Grassland Biome.
