It looks like we have another contender for the best gaming phones to date, as the highly anticipated Lenovo Legion Y90's release could be sooner than you'd think.
The gaming phone is part of the Legion line which also includes some impressive gaming laptops too, and while there is still some mystery around it, thanks to a recent listing from TENAA and other leaks, we know more about what to expect, and it doesn't disappoint.
Here's everything we know so far about the upcoming Lenovo Legion Y90 gaming phone.
Lenovo Legion Y90 Release Date
The latest leaks focus around the specs of the Lenovo Legion Y90, however, there's no sign of a release date among them just yet.
We'll keep you updated as to when we know more, for now, let's take a look at what to expect when it does hit shelves.
Lenovo Legion Y90 Specs
It looks like the Lenovo Legion Y90 specs may have been revealed thanks to a recent listing on TENAA and we have machine translated it to uncover some potential upcoming features.
The listing details a Lenovo smartphone with an L71061 internal designation, which is suspected to be the upcoming Lenovo Legion Y90.
Key specifications include a 6.9" OLED display with a Full HD+ resolution (2460 x 1080p) and CPU listed as 2.995GHz, which is likely to be the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset.
The listing also suggests that the Lenovo Legion Y90 will be available with 8GB, 10GB, 12GB or 16GB of RAM (though previous leaks have suggested up to 18GB) and up to 512GB of storage.
It also points to dual batteries with a total capacity of 5,300mAh and nine available colour options including black, white, blue, cyan, green, gold, red, silver and grey.
For the rest of the specs, according to a post from EqualLeaks on Telegram, we're in for something quite special with the Lenovo Legion Y90.
Now before we dive in, remember, always take these leaks with a pinch of salt as without official announcements they're not confirmed. That being said, if they are true, this is what the Lenovo Legion Y90 will be packing.
For the screen, we could get a 144Hz refresh rate, this is seriously impressive and the 144hz refresh rate instantly makes us think of competitive gaming monitors.
It has a 720Hz Touch Sampling Rate which should work well for games that require faster inputs. such as the more reflex-based mobile games.
For the processor, we could see the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, Qualcomm's new flagship smartphone processor that's the first to use Arm v9 CPU cores in addition to Samsung's 4nm process node technology.
As for memory, it's said to have 18GB LPDDR5, plus 4GB virtual RAM, which is massive. It's also great to see DDR5 make an appearance too, and one that we should expect to see in a number of gaming phones on their way in the future.
You're also getting 640GB UFS storage, which is more than enough for most people.
On the battery front, it looks decent at 5600mAh, but thankfully if you do run low you won't be out of the action for too long as it also has 68W fast charging.
Other interesting features are its 2x2 shoulder keys, dual speakers (Dolby Atmos), and dual fan liquid cooling - a must-have for something with this power.
Lenovo Legion Y90 Price
Right now, the price is still yet to be announced, but we're expecting it to be at a premium for sure.
