This is because Moses has been hiding the camera in his office since he took it the night she was killed. To find Safi's camera in Life Is Strange: Double Exposure, you'll need to switch between the Living and Dead Worlds in Chapter 2.

Moses hides the camera in his office, but Detective Alderman is watching him closely, so you'll need to be clever. Start by entering Moses' office in the Living World through the portal near the janitor’s cart.

Moses will be working on a telescope and ask for an Allen wrench to stabilize it. To get it, switch back to the Dead World using the portal in the office and find the wrench on a table.

Once you return to the Living World and give it to Moses, he’ll fix the telescope and leave the key on a nearby shelf, which you need to grab.

Use this key to unlock a cabinet, but instead of finding the camera, you’ll discover a note that reads “under safe.”

This means the camera is hidden somewhere in the room, but more clues are needed. Ask Moses about this, and he will tell you about the star Saiph in the Orion constellation.

Go upstairs and use the Star Projector to align the constellations as they appeared during Moses and Safi’s work. Once aligned, the star Saiph will point you to the lower-left area of the wall, where the camera is hidden behind a vent.

Just when you’re about to retrieve the camera, Detective Alderman enters the office. To distract him, switch back to the Living World and grab a noisy Christmas ornament from a tree.

Return to the Dead World and place the ornament upstairs. When Alderman investigates the noise, returns to the Living World and use Max’s new Displacement ability to swap the telescope parts between worlds.

This will let you move the barrels blocking the vent and grab the camera. After securing the camera, exit Moses' office by using the same portal to switch timelines again and avoid detection.

This will complete the task, helping Moses avoid suspicion from Detective Alderman.
