Dodonko Island is one of the wackiest and most unique locations added to any Yakuza title. In Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, while exploring Honolulu City, you can actually go visit the nearby Dodonko Island. Once you access Dodonko Island, you might be confused about how to leave. Today, we'll take a look at how to both reach and leave Dodonko Island in Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth.
Getting to Dodonko Island and experiencing the totally out-of-left-field Animal Crossing mini-game can be a bit of a shock for most players. In fact, the game doesn't even let you leave for a good while, so it only adds to the overall confusion. But there's no need to worry as there's a simple way to leave and return to Dodonko Island whenever you want.
While you're here, be sure to check our full review for Infinite Wealth and learn about all the returning characters.
How to access Dondoko Island
You'll unlock the ability to go to Dondoko Island at the start of chapter six. You will see a special icon titled 'Dondoko Island Transport' on the map in East Aloha Beach. You can visit this place if you want to go back to Dondoko Island after the events of chapter six that first take you to the Island itself. Go and interact with it whenever you feel like returning to continue the Animal Crossing minigame.
How to leave Dondoko Island
The first time you get there via story, you will not be able to leave for quite a while. Unlike the rest of the game, Dondoko Island features a day and night cycle with a timer in the bottom left of your screen. You need to wait until day three before you are allowed to leave the island.
After that, you can return to the main game if you talk to the Dolphine the Dolphin and ask it to take you back. Dolphine the Dolphin is located in the south section of Dondoko Island, and unlike the taxis, it doesn't cost anything.
That's all you need to know about how to visit Dondoko Island and how to leave when needed. Next up, learn about all the chapters and how the turn-based combat works.
