Lylia is definitely one of the scariest Mage heroes available in Mobile Legends. She's even more effective when allowed to snowball a game after stomping the mid-lane. Use that power to gank other lanes and you'll have a potent Mage carry on your hands.

Mobile Legends Lylia Abilities

Similar to most heroes in Mobile Legends, Lylia is equipped with a total of three active abilities and one passive ability. While all of her active abilities are low cooldown, this Mobile Legends Lylia build guide focuses on the hero's second ability. It can be an absolute game-changer when used correctly.

This hero’s abilities can take a fair bit of time to understand and execute to perfection. Thus, it is highly advised that you spend some time in a custom room to figure out her move mechanics before jumping into a multiplayer match. Let’s take a look at her moveset.

Passive Ability – Angry Bloom

Angry Bloom is what gives Lylia the ability to keep her familiar Gloom by her side throughout the match. Gloom grants Lylia additional powers and ever boosts her movement speed while it's by her side. When Gloom gets an upgrade, so to does Lylia's movement speed. But it's Gloom's role with Lylia's second ability that will make the more noticable difference in battle. More on that soon.

First Ability – Magic Shockwave

Magic Shockwave sends Gloom in a straight line, slowing and dealing massive damage to those in its path. A good plan is to comine this spell with Lylia’s second ability to execute low-hp enemies who try to flee the fight.

Magic Shockwave retains its four-second low cooldown at all levels, making it one of the most spammable abilities in the game. However, whenever Gloom moves away from Lylia, the hero loses her movement speed bonus from her passive ability, which can leave you without an escape route if things go awry.

Second Ability – Shadow Energy

Arguably the most complex ability in Lylia’s arsenal, Shadow Energy can easily become one of the most devastating abilities in the entire game in the right hands. Shadow Energy features a maximum of five charges, each of which is replenished every nine seconds.

Lylia can use a charge of Shadow Energy to place a mark at a specific location on the ground. Enemies caught inside the vicinity of this mark receive magical damage as well as a movement speed debuff for 0.5 seconds.

What makes this ability so lethal is the fact that it can be combined with Magic Shockwave to deal explosive damage to enemies caught in the detonation. Detonating multiple Shadow Energy marks with Magic Shockwave within a set amount of time adds a damage multiplier to all the subsequent detonations, which can make for some serious chain reactions.

Ultimate Ability – Black Shoes

Casting Black Shoes allows Lylia to return to the location where her black shoes were four seconds ago.

Casting her ultimate also restores all five charges of Shadow Energy, her health, and even her mana. On top of all this, Lylia also receives a notable movement speed bonus for a short duration after casting Black Shoes. It's a great escape tactic, but it's also a potent way to keep this devious little girl on the offensive as well.

The Star Student skin isn't essential to the Mobile Legends Lylia build, but it sure looks the part.

Mobile Legends Lylia Ability Progression

Apart from obviously taking a point in your ultimate at levels four, eight, and 12 respectively, the best ability progression path for Lylia is by maxing out her first ability with as few points in her second ability as possible. This build will allow you to deal more damage in team fights while also being able to flash farm lane and jungle creeps.

The only situation where you should consider leveling up Shadow Energy before Magic Shockwave is when your team is clearly ahead. This will allow you to focus more on early ganks and team fights instead of farming for resources across the map, which should help you quickly push the objective and end the match before the enemy team figures out how to fight back.

Mobile Legends Lylia Emblem

Given that Lylia is a mage category hero in Mobile Legends, the ideal emblem for Lylia is definitely Mage. However, new players who might not have unlocked too many levels for Mage can also use the Magic emblem with the Magic Power Surge talent.

Nevertheless, it is highly recommended that you use the Mage emblem with either the Mystery Shop talent or the Impure Rage talent for optimal performance in the game.

Mobile Legends Lylia Spells

Considering the fact that Lylia is a fairly squishy hero, the hero tends to rely heavily on her battle spell to survive or escape from unfavorable fights. Let’s dive in and take a look at which spell is ideal for Lylia in which scenario.

Spell
Why is it good?
Purify
Ideal for purging off all debuffs and also gaining “control immunity” for a short duration.
Flameshot
Highly effective for knocking-back enemies who try to chase Lylia during an adverse engagement.
Flicker
Be it to catch an escaping enemy or to flee from an unfavorable gank, Flicker is definitely one of the best and most dependable spells for Lylia
Arrival
The ability to teleport to an allied unit is something that can change the entire outcome of a team fight making it extremely useful for Lylia in every game

Mobile Legends Lylia Item Build

Gameplay Tips for Lylia

Being a burst-damage dealing mage in Mobile Legends, Lylia is an extremely strong mid-lane hero who likes to gain early levels and items. When played to her full potential, the hero is capable of snowballing games single-handedly from the mid-lane.

Lylia is one of the difficult-to-master mages in the game and can require a fair bit of practice before being able to execute her abilities to perfection. Having said that, the usual playstyle for the hero is to participate in ganks on the enemy heroes as soon as Lylia unlocks her ultimate ability at level four. Needless the say, the hero can be extremely scary to face off against in a multiplayer game.

In case you find yourself facing trouble with the hero’s mechanics and passive movements, make sure to spend some time in a custom room to get used to Lylia’s performance in Mobile Legends before jumping back into a multiplayer lobby.
