If you're looking for the best Mario and Rabbids Sparks of Hope Mario build guide, this is everything you need to know. As the game has far more complexity to builds than the last Mario RPG, you may be looking for some information to start you out with. This is what we recommend paying attention to.
In this Mario and Rabbids Sparks of Hope guide, we go over how Mario is supposed to be played, which skills he benefits from, and which Sparks you should add to his lineup to get the most out of him. As the game has some wiggle room to play around with, this should just be where you start. Use it to make your own build.

Mario and Rabbids Sparks of Hope Mario build
Before you work out how you want to make your Mario, you should figure out how to play him, and how he works in a good team composition. In my run through the game, I paired him with Edge and Rabbid Peach.
Edge is good upfront, having multiple dashes and doing a lot of AOE damage with her attacks. Rabbid Peach works well from a distance and has great healing abilities. You can pair Edge's good movement abilities to boost Mario up and push him forward.
Mario thrives in his jump ability, and ability to shoot in two different directions. For this reason, you should pick a character who has good range with their movement, in order to jump off and fly around.
Which skills should Mario pick?
Now that we know this, you should focus on the Movement skill tree, grabbing the Stomp ability and Extra Stomp. Pump tonnes of points into this tree, giving him multiple stomps and plenty of time in the air, then go over to the Weapon skill tree and buy the Jump Shot ability.
As Mario, if you shoot enemies while you're in the air, you can still move around afterwards. This means you can get right into the middle of a group, fire and jump on everyone, then drop out again.
Which Sparks should Mario pick?
There are a few ways you can go with Sparks, but summoning creatures is the way I went with mine. I used Edge to get into an area, then use Mario to get in there, drop on enemies, and leave again. For this reason, I went for Wildclaw Master and Gargantu-Fan. These drop off new allies, who can both take fire and do loads of damage. Their passive abilities give you a lot of toughness, too.
This being said, you can focus on Sparks like Starburst to get extra damage, or Aquanox to deal extra water damage. Generally, Mario should focus on getting as much damage as possible out there.
