Marvel Rivals is one of the most promising multiplayer games at the moment, combining the competitive thrills of Overwatch with our favorite superheroes. However, to find out whether it’s for you, it’s important to get hands-on. Luckily, the Marvel Rivals Alpha lets you do just that. Well, providing you know how to get into the Marvel Rivals Closed Alpha.

That’s right, only a limited number of players will be able to play the Closed Alpha test, though with no NDA, you can at least join in from the sidelines until the full Marvel Rivals release date arrives. How to Get a Marvel Rivals Alpha Code

To get into the closed Marvel Rivals Alpha, you have to sign up on the official website using the registration form and get an Alpha code. However, this does not guarantee access as there are limited spots available.

The Marvel Rivals Closed Alpha test runs from Friday, May 10, 2024, 5:00 PM (PDT) until Monday, May 20, 2024, 11:59 PM (PDT), and is only available on PC.

Unfortunately, there are no ways to guarantee access to the Closed Alpha test. As the developer explains, “not everyone who signed up can jump into the fray” given the limited spots available for the Alpha. However, with the overwhelming anticipation, the developer has actually increased the maximum number of players that can take part. So, keep checking your inbox as a code could turn up for you. Likewise, it is also fast-tracking upcoming tests to open up more opportunities to playtest the game early.

While you can’t guarantee access, there are other ways to get into the Marvel Rivals Alpha. The developer and content creators will be sharing codes on social media, so keep your eyes peeled. Furthermore, if you know someone else who has been invited, “players meeting certain milestones [during the Marvel Rivals Alpha] can snag additional invite codes from the in-game event page for a limited time.” It’s not ideal, but you can weasel your way into the Closed Alpha.

Marvel Rivals Alpha Content

The Marvel Rivals Alpha includes the following content:

  • Characters - Black Panther, Doctor Strange, Groot, Hela, Hulk, Iron Man, Loki, Luna Snow, Magik, Magneto, Mantis, Namor, Peni Parker, Punisher, Rocket Raccoon, Star-Lord, Storm, Scarlet Witch, and Spider-Man
  • Maps - Yggsgard: Yggdrasill Path, Yggsgard: Royal Palace, and Tokyo 99: Shin-Shibua
  • Tutorial - Learn the basic techniques of fighting as a superhero with Galacta
  • Quick Match - Choose your hero, defeat enemies, and complete mission objectives in Convoy, Domination, and Convergence
  • Pocket Universe - Respawn at a flexible location and eliminate as many enemies as you can
  • Custom - Create custom matches to play with or against your friends
    Competitive: Ascend through the ranks in competitive play

There is also the 6v6 ‘Dawn of Legends’ tournament running from May 10 until May 19, which offers a massive $22,500 prize pool and an exclusive Dawn of Legends title, available to every member in the top 32 factions.

While you can progress and keep track of your stats during the Closed Alpha, take note that all account data will be wiped and reset after the test is over to keep an evening footing for launch.

Marvel Rivals Alpha System Requirements

The recommended PC system requirements for the Marvel Rivals Closed Alpha Test are as follows:

  • Operating System: Windows 10 64-bit
  • Processor: Intel Core i5-10400 or AMD Ryzen 5 5600X
  • Memory: 16 GB
  • Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 (Super) or AMD RX 5700-XT
  • DirectX Version: 12
  • Storage Space: 70 GB SSD space is required

Bear in mind that this is just for the Closed Alpha. The system requirements for the final release could be lower or higher, depending on how testing goes. For now, though, this is what you’ll want to be rocking.
