Could a third Spider-Man game be on the way?
There's no doubt that the success of Marvel's Spider-Man prompted a reboot for the game on PS5.
Spider-Man: Miles Morales provided Insomniac with a chance to release the fantastic superhero titles again alongside a new story and content while reusing a lot of assets from the original game.
Rumours surfaced that a new Spider-Man was on the cards back in 2019 and early 2020, but it was believed to be Spider-Man 2 and not a spin-off.
So what's the latest on a Peter Parker sequel?
Here's what we know about Marvel's Spider-Man 2.
Release Date
There is no release date currently as it is simply a rumour.
If we were to guess, we'd expect it to arrive in 2022.
Miles Morales was developed by a separate team led by Brian Horton, remember, it's unlikely that the recent Miles Morales title has gotten in the way of development.
Story
The ending of Miles Morales guarantees Peter Parker's video game adventure is far from over.
Without detailing too many spoilers, the end of the game sees Peter returns from Symkaria and praises Miles for his growth and heroism.
They then go off to fight crime together, potentially leading to a dual-protagonist game in the future.
Meanwhile, Norman Osborn orders Dr Curt Connors to release his terminally ill son Harry from stasis in spite of his unstable condition.
Perhaps this is setting up the villain of the next game?
Price
We expect the game to cost £49.99-£59.99.
Platforms
The game will likely only launch on PlayStation consoles.
We're expecting the PS5 and PS4 to get the game exclusively.
