Meta Quest Pro Price

The Meta Quest Pro is listed at $1499.99.

This includes the headset, Meta Quest Touch Pro controllers, partial light blockers, charging doc, an stylus tips.

Meta Quest Pro Design & Features

The announcement trailer does a very good (and incredibly stylish) job of summing up the new features to the Meta Quest Pro. Take a look at it below before we dive into each one in more depth.

Improved comfort

The Oculus Quest 2 has been said to be a little 'weighty' to wear for some, and it looks like Meta have addressed this.

This time around, we're getting 'world class counter-balanced ergonomics', plus, what seems like luxurious cushioning both for the front and back of the person's head.

Full colour mixed reality

Yep, you read it right. With the Meta Quest Pro, you're getting full colour mixed reality. Why is that good thing? Well, apart from the obvious improvements (like 4x higher resolution) it provides a huge amount of potential for both professional and everyday usage alike.

Win, win.

Real-time tracking

The rumours were true, and it looks like the Quest Pro will actually track your facial expressions. That means you can smile, wink, or raise eye-brows and your avatar will do the same.

The possibilities are endless!

Meta Quest Touch Pro Controllers

These controllers are a big step up from the previous iteration, and actually feature a Snapdragon 662 mobile processor in each one.

And thanks to that, it can handle 360 degree motion, provide TruTouch haptic feedback, and even precision pinch too.

This is going to take our VR experience to a whole new level.

Improved optics

We've been banging on for a while now about pancake lenses, so we're not surprised that they've made the final product!
What do they do though? It's simple really - they're much slimmer, so they headset can be streamlined, they allow for 37% greater pixels-per-inch (that's higher resolution essentially) and they have a 1.3x larger colour gamut - which basically means you'll get more vibrant colours than ever before.

Improved specs

This time around we're getting ten VR/MR sensors, 256 GB storage with 12GB of RAM. We've also got a Snapdragon XR2+ processor and spatial audio!

Should you buy the Meta Quest Pro?

We think this could honestly be one of the best 'mainstream' VR headsets around, and we can't wait to see it in action. However...that price.

Compared to the far more affordable Oculus Quest 2, this is certainly steep for most people, but is it really for 'most people'?

Our impression of the device is that it's tailored towards gamers who would spend the same amount on a gaming PC (which can be upwards of $1000 easily), or serious professionals working at top companies.

And that's where things get a little confusing...just what is the Meta Quest Pro's 'primary directive'? Is it for entertainment or simply an advanced tool to shift our world into a new future?

Time will tell, but we have to admit...we're very excited.
